A government watchdog found that 78 political appointees of President Barack Obama managed to “burrow” into career government jobs over a six-year period.
A Government Accountability Office report obtained by The Washington Times Wednesday shows that seven of Mr. Obama’s political appointees switched to career jobs without obtaining necessary approval from the Office of Personnel Management. Of those, four were later denied the jobs by OPM and three left their posts.
Congressional Republicans warned Mr. Obama last year against moving political appointees into career positions, and President Trump has stated frequently that he believes some employees in the federal workforce are Obama holdovers working against his agenda.

There were very good reason for the founders to insist on a natural born citizen, some one born here of citizen parents, solely a US citizen with no possibility of being anything else.
Naturally a US citizen as there is no other alternative when born here of citizen parents.
What the hell is the President waiting for if they did not follow the correct process to get those jobs??? They should have ALL been fired on Jan. 20!
There has to be a serious typo there. I would believe 78,000. Even 780,000 is believable. But 78 is just plain preposterous.

There aren't *that* many presidential appointees - fortunately. Well, at least as provided for "officially". Speaking of, has anyone kept tabs on that barge-load of "czars" since November? I do wonder where they've slunk off to.

Good point about all those czars. Not only did we not hear anything about them leaving, we never once heard about them doing anything at all. Were they pure 100% no-show patronage jobs?
You just know that each and every one of these appointees had to pass an ideological purity test.
