Democrats are tying up the legal system so there is no time to go after their ilk. This is the rat MO.

The limits of a presidential pardon have never really been tested.

Perhaps the Dems will do so in this soft coup attempt that’s been going on since before Trump took office.

Then we might see what it looks like when lots of Dems start dying at the hands of enraged patriots, and pardons become necessary in order to restore law and order.

How many dead insurrectionists will it take?

Inane blowhards and sniveling little children. Authority to pardon is final, it cannot be appealed to the courts.

Arpaio was charged with federal criminal contempt, which makes it subject to executive pardon power per Ex Parte Grossman.

...Nothing in the ordinary meaning of the words ‘offenses against the United States’ excludes criminal contempts...

You missed my point.

The real test of the power to pardon just might be when patriots get out their guns and start shooting the criminal tyrants who have robbed us of our freedom and nation.

If this results in thousands of dead tyrants, there may be criminal charges against patriots. But those may require pardons to restore law and order.

In a nutshell, I’m talking about the left being determined to start Civil War 2.

So, a President can pardon murderers and drug dealers but not someone in contempt of court? Libards aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed.

The libs are also trying to put out fires. How can a man in jail investigate the below possibility about a traitor who still has this over his head. Heck, the Clintons would have had him killed. (The Chicago way)

“Arpaio is also known for investigating former U.S. President Barack Obama’s birth certificate, and, as of 2016, he continued to claim that it was forged.”

Can’t have someone running around loose asking questions about a still very active political activist, can we?

...there are NO LIMITATIONS in the constitution on the power of the president to pardon.

There is one limitation: the President cannot pardon in the case of impeachment.

You are correct. I was speaking of pardons for the ordinary crook/criminal/victim like Joe.

Nixon resigned before he was impeached thereby being eligible for Ford’s pardon.
