It’s good to see one of these thugs suffering the consequences of their actions.
The Oregonian reports:
Man who threw flare into cop car during May 1 protests gets 5 years
A 23-year-old man who threw burning flares into a Portland police cruiser and the downtown Target store during May 1 protests that overran downtown Portland admitted guilt Monday and will be sentenced to five years in prison.
A local TV station aired live footage of Damion Zachary Feller hurling a flare through a shattered picture window at Target, prompting employees to run with fire extinguishers to put out a burning section of carpet. TV and cellphone cameras also caught Feller throwing a flare through the shattered window of a battered police SUV parked across the street from Target, at Southwest 10th Avenue and Morrison.
Other people clad all in black or wearing masks can be seen on the videos kicking or whacking windows of the police car seconds before Feller swoops in with the flares.
Police identified Feller as among a group of about 20 anarchists who descended on downtown as peaceful May Day protesters spoke about a variety of social issues. Officers arrested 25 people that day for vandalizing property, setting fires, throwing rocks and other violence.
This guy threw his life away for something so dumb.
Don’t these folks have anything better to do with their lives?

Word is once you get in the prison system. It’s hard to get out.
Five years may sound like nothing, but with the nonsense that goes on in prison in many instances will keep short timers there a lot longer.
Another cause celebré and martyr in Portland. How long before the “Free Damion Feller, Political Prisoner” riots and demonstrations start?
Are they going to make him produce a sellable product while in prison to pay for the $100,000 or so loss to the city? Or garner his future wages when he gets out?

Damion is not liking photographers staring at him and snapping his picture. Life was much more fun with a black hood hiding your identity. His lawyer probably has to remind him, not to rush the cameras and curse people out.

He’s getting LESS time in jail for an actual act of violence then the Bunkerville protestors are getting for simply IMPLYING they might do something - like Greg Burleson.

This may seem like a silly or sarcastic question, but it’s not meant to be; Do they teach inmates how to create computer code in prison? I keep hearing that this will become a most valuable skill. Just as with the general public, a small percentage of inmates may have the natural skill set to learn this. I do NOT have such a natural skill set, and am not interested in learning it at this time.
