Yes they do. And they’re *ridiculously* taxpayer funded.
1> Taxpayer funded stadiums to the tune of billions of dollars with absolutely no appreciable return to taxpayers.
2> Taxpayer funded colleges to source talent to the NFL. While colleges claim that the sports are self-funding, do some math to discover the costs of stadium maintenance, coaching salaries, coaching lawsuits in the case of Jerry Sandusky ...
3> Taxpayer funded high school stadiums / equipment to source talent from towns to colleges.
I only bring up high school in that our local high school runs that frigging team like it was semi-pro or something (new stadium with a frigging pressbox ... A PRESSBOX, new scoreboard, astroturf looking stuff ... AND THE SCHOOL IS BASICALLY BROKE!!!)
It’s disgusting. Our schools are failing, property taxes are through the roof, and more money is dumped into a frigging game!
Yeah, I’m angry :-). I’m biased ... I think the game of football as it exists today at the professional level is garbage ... but the NFL needs to be investigated ... it’s a damn propaganda outlet and has been funneled billions of dollars in taxpayer money both directly and indirectly. It has to STOP!
Don’t accept an “I’m sorry” from the NFL. Stop watching, make them suffer financially, and demand answers.
Just as bad is conservative taxpayers being forced to support the the left’s mouthpiece, NPR and National Public Television. I think I’ve ground my teeth in my sleep over that one.

I was offered a free subscription to the DMN. I turned it down. These people have a business but know nothing about business. You do not have to be a genius to know few people will subscribe to the paper because of this and many will cancel their subscriptions because of it.
And here I thought...
