NASCAR is being very smart here. They sense an opportunity to grab a sizeable chunk of the NFL fan base.
It is the equivalent in human behavior of a wolf rolling over and bearing his throat to an aggressor.
There is a quasi gay vibe to this little form of protest as well. Strong men do not link arms and men do not bend the knee. It's as if our culture has been appropriated and our men have been captured by Ramsey Bolton and turned into Reek. I'd like to know who is responsible so I can feed them to the dogs.

In reference to the post below yours, maybe NASCAR is trying to be the alpha male sport while all the ninnies are bending knees and who knows what else.

NASCAR should hold all races that take place during the NFL season on Sunday. I have no doubt that NASCAR would kick the NFL’s ass in the ratings and in attendance.

lol ok. I was kinda' kidding there. I get that we don't have a king. Take what I say in a symbolic sense. A comment made in an amusing, eye catching, and entertaining manner intended to prove a broader point.
Amen. Too many fought and died for what our flag and anthem stand for to show disrespect. There are other ways to protest, and what NFL players have done with this taking a knee is not an appropriate action.
I hope the NFL learns a lesson, when the viewership and dollars dry up.
My 84 y/o dad up till now has conflicted in splitting his time between football and NASCAR. He called today to say the conflict has been solved.

Earnhardts crash and burn eventually. His dad was always running into people as I remember, its been a while and my flirtation with NASCAR was brief I need to go to an actual race. I do remember Earnhardt being an ass though - think it was Senior
