WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made these statements.
“My friendship with John McCain is not based on how he votes but respect for how he’s lived his life and the person he is.
“I respectfully disagree with his position not to proceed forward on Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson. I know Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson is the best chance to repeal and replace Obamacare.
“Obamacare is collapsing in Arizona, South Carolina, and across the nation - driving up premiums and reducing choices. I feel an obligation to fix this disaster and intend to push forward for state-centric health care versus Washington-knows-best health care.
“I’m completely convinced taking money and power out of Washington and returning it to states to administer health care is the best way to replace a collapsing Obamacare system. I’m excited about solutions we have found in Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson. We press on.”
McCain is nuts.
That would be all well and good, IF I didn't know how he lived his life, and the type of person he has been throughout.
It was all Kabuki theater. Nobody wanted this to pass. Certainly not Graham. This was just a show for the sheep.

McCain is just being an asshole. The two dipsy dames - Lisa M. and Sue Collins - are only marginally on our side.
Last time out, McCain voted no and killed our best shot at repeal and replace. Now, he’s at his shenanigans against. Putting his idea of perfection ahead of what can actually do.
Possibly, if he is scheduled for surgery and Menendez is scheduled for court, we can pass something 49 to 49 with the Vice President casting the tie-breaking vote.

I wonder how f our seniors KNOW that this bill will also turn their Medicare over to the states AND put them into the state care which in CA. is medical a VERY POOR system!!!!

Yep, it is the sort of antics that Graham’s voter base apparently eats up, too.
KNowing how Congress works and what they do to appease the sheep, I seriously doubt that this bill would have solve anything.

Maybe his brain is broken. He has been acting weird at least since the hearing when he keot mixing names up.
It’s a very poor system, but if these programs are turned over to the states, won’t they be forced to deal with budget overruns?
Am I understanding accurately.
Doesn’t this give block grants, and then leave the state to deal with it if they spend more than the total of the block grants?
