California suing Trump over border wall, escalating battle with White House
Fox News ^ | Sept. 20, 2017 | Brooke Singman

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra announced Wednesday that the state will sue the Trump administration over one of President Trump’s paramount campaign promises—the border wall.

Becerra’s lawsuit, which targets planned projects in San Diego and Imperial counties, marks the latest shot in California's legal and legislative war against Trump.

The state essentially has emerged as the heart of the Trump "resistance," pumping out lawsuits against his immigration policies and even passing a resolution Friday in the Assembly censuring Trump for his comments on the violence stemming from white nationalist protests in Charlottesville, Va.

What is CA thinking?!

How can a state sue the Federal Government over securing the border of the US?

Stop the wall at the CA southern border, but extend it up along the CA/Nevada line until it gets to the point where Northern CA will be after they split from the south.

Then Mexifornia will be totally isolated from western society.

It sure sounds like a conspiracy in furtherence of a criminal enterprise, human smuggling. and of course misappropriation of funds, fraud, theft, larceny.... Maybe Sessions should just Indict him and the legislature for smoking weed.

I don’t wish a disaster on anyone. But in the case of California, a disaster seems inevitable on a monthly basis — whether I wish it or not.

Certainly I would oppose a penny of federal aid for that state, no matter the fire, flood, mud slide, earthquake, tsunami or Martian invasion. No money for you.

LOL, OK, this is really funny. The AG, who is violating Federal Law, is accusing Trump of violating Federal Law......

“Becerra’s latest lawsuit charged that the Trump administration “violated the U.S. Constitution, failed to comply with federal and state environmental laws, and relied on a federal statute that does not authorize the proposed projects.”

“The Trump administration has once again ignored laws it doesn’t like in order to resuscitate a campaign talking point to build a wall on our southern border,” Becerra said in a statement Wednesday. “President Trump has yet to pivot from candidate Trump to leader of a nation built on the rule of law. That’s dangerous.”

Such a GORGEOUS state - such a f#cked up Government!

I was there for the first time recently. Everyone I interacted with were very nice and cordial. It makes me wonder how these people vote for the state's suicide, how much brazen corruption is ignored and how many illegals have taken over with not a care by legal residents.

The sites were amazing. Most of LA (including Hollywood proper)was a dump and the traffic was insane. It was very obvious the super wealthy live in their gated compounds and communities.

You ask a good question. But even better, how can a state declare itself a “Sanctuary State”?

The answer to both questions is the laws of our society don’t apply to all, much like our Constitution only applies sometime, when it’s convenient.

California (I live here) is so out of control on sanctuary cities and giving the middle finger to the government. And they get judges to back them up. Total lawless State.

Weren't wearing your MAGA cap, were you?

You would have gotten a far different reception, had the people in Cali known your politics.
