U.S. Governors at U.N. Assembly: ‘You Have Allies’ on Climate Change
NY Times ^ | Sept. 18, 2017 | LISA FRIEDMAN and BRAD PLUMER

Jerry Brown, the governor of California, huddled on Sunday night with European, Brazilian and small-island leaders — gathered here for the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly, which formally begins on Tuesday — and pledged to work with them on climate change. On Monday he met with António Guterres, the United Nations secretary general, to discuss the future of the Paris agreement.

In another era, meetings like these might have been the exclusive domain of the State Department. But with the Trump administration vowing to leave the Paris agreement on climate change — affirmed on Monday by Gary D. Cohn, the chief White House economic adviser, at a meeting with allied ministers — Democratic state governors are taking an increasingly conspicuous role on the international stage, forming something of an informal negotiating team.

Brown (noser) would be better off working on funding the pensions he’s promised his workers.

Good. Let them tax the Hell out their states and then send the money to the UN. Let them raise the price of gas and electricity driving businesses out of their states.

Jerry brown was one D who I think actually meant well. But alas he sold out to certain powerful corporate interests years and years ago and has stuck to it throughout his looong political career, delivering billions of dollars from citizens to his funders through corrupting or selling out positions in key state agencies. Imho of course. He adds a nifty sort of eccentric style at times. Which serves him well in distracting the public’s attention away from what he’s really doing. The way to figure him out is to NOT listen to what he says —.but instead Follow The Money. Imho

And its big corporations that want to use climate change rules and regulations to enhance their own economic position and use the climate change issue to justify taxes on the utility bills of little people so they don’t have to pay the taxes to sustain big government.

The big corporations get the “carbon credits” while the rest of us pay the bill as energy taxes are increased.

I’ve been watching shows on tv like Aerial America They show things that shaped and formed the earth going back millions of years, before humans! Global climate change. Before Humans!

I bet those governors allying together against the United States government are the same ones melting Confederate statues. Irony can be so ironic at times.

And it’s those very utility corporations that he sold out to right from the beginning, too. The dots are connecting on him rapidly

FakeNewsNYT - how come WaPo has covered this sensational news 12 hours ago and you are still pushing the “climate alarmism”. where’s your coverage? Trump and is Admin have been proven right and the sooner we get the Blue Team/Red Team concept going (over to you, Scott Pruitt), the better.

how perfectly timed this is for “Climate Week” and the UN meeting. go get them, President Trump:

18 Sept: WaPo: Chris Mooney: New climate change calculations could buy the Earth some time — if they’re right
But the new calculation diverged so much from what had gone before that other experts were still trying to figure out what to make of it...

Any substantial revision to the carbon budget would have major implications, changing our ideas of how rapidly countries will need to ratchet down their greenhouse gas emissions in coming years and, thus, the very workings of global climate policymaking…

The new research, thus, seems to potentially empower a critique of climate science that has often been leveled by skeptics, doubters and “lukewarmers” who argue that warming is shaping up to be less than climate models have predicted…

“It goes to show, this carbon-budget approach is still much more, let’s say, immature scientifically than what we often assume,” Peters said.

Not only have these moonbats not read the U.S. Constitution (”No State shall enter any Treaty...”), they haven’t read the U.N. Charter. The U.N. has NO inherent powers. It is NOT a sovereign government! It is merely a deliberative body.

If Jerry wants to bankrupt his state, feel free. His actions, if he tries to negotiate a treaty with a foreign entity, are unconstitutional.

I wrote this on another thread:

We need to start paying attention to this.

In June Gov Jerry Brown visited China in response to the US leaving the Paris Accord.

While in China, he was named “Special adviser for state’s and regions” at the upcoming UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

When he returned he announced CA had entered into a trade agreement with China to grant them access to all of our “Green” technology.

Since Silicon Valley is our technology center. There’s a strong possibility all the tech giants are compromised. This includes all online social networks.

He also announced the he would seek to form a “Coalition of States” to combat climate change. It looks like Washington state and N.Y. joined his effort.

On 31 Aug, Brown announced be was going to Russia to meet Putin and other invited nations to “discuss climate change.”

ON THE SAME DAY the US immediately closed the Russian consulate in San Fran. This forced Brown to travel to Alaska to get his Visa stamp.

He traveled to Vladivostok, Russia, a city along the Sea of Japan near the country’s borders with China and North Korea, for the two-day Eastern Economic Forum. (How convienent)

He is due to travel to meet John Kerry at Harvard then travel to N.Y. to address the UN about climate change as the “States special envoy”.

The corrupt CA government is about to turn CA into a sanctuary state. This will be a direct threat to our republic as they and thier “coalition of states” will be in open rebellion.

Obama has announced he will return to lead the 1st annual Obama Foundation in Chicago, with other “civc leaders” to address “common world problems”.

These leaders (organizers) are to share ideas and return to there local areas to implement them (start trouble).

The meeting will take place on 31 Oct.

Recently Gen Mattis addressed the armed forces. He said:

““You’re a great example for our country right now. It’s got a few problems. You know it and I know it. It’s got problems that we don’t have in the military.”

“Hold the line until our country gets back to understanding and respecting each other, and showing it — of being friendly to one another, you know, that Americans owe to one another,”

It might get a little bumpy. Stay vigilant.
