Pentagon accuses Russian jets of hitting US-backed Syrian fighters
DEBKAfile ^ | 9/16/2017 | DEBKAfile

The Pentagon and US allies in Syria accused Russian jets of Saturday "impacting a location known to the Russians to contain (US-backed) Syrian Democratic Forces and coalition advisors" east of the Euphrates River in Syria's Deir El Zour province. The Kremlin denied the allegation.

"Several SDF fighters were wounded" the statement added. None of the advisers were injured.

But Russia's military spokesman denied Moscow targeted the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an alliance of Arab and Kurdish fighters supported by Washington. "This is not possible. Why would we bomb them?" military spokesman Igor Konashenkov said......

Looks likes the Russians hit the forces that include jihadists in Syria today, the 'US-backed forces'.

DEBKAfile is saying the Syrian government and allied forces crossed the Euphrates River in the area as this attack was alleged to have occurred.

Kurds also in this force attacked. The Kurdish independence referendum is stirring up the region with Iran and Turkey among opponents.

Russia is denying any attack occurred.

Armageddon is supposed to occur in Syria I’ve been told.

Is there really a “good side” or a “bad side” in that contest either?

God is good, humanity has flaws.

The full story of Syria’s Civil War and all its players would tell us about what “sinners” do, but I doubt if they really want to honestly tell us what they did.

Those who tried to overthrow Assad fueled jihadists who spawned into the Islamic State and all that it spawned including numerous terrorist attacks like the one in London the other day.

Your post worth saying twice. I’m fed up with this ME BS. This is all an unknown that costs America, and we get nothing while being told by our “leaders” we don’t have the money for our border security and wall.

Assad is better for ME stability than any of these rebel anarchist groups. Does anyone have a clue what or who these groups actually represent? These rebel groups are creating civil war in Syria, just as would a foreign country (or a Soros entity) if it started feeding arms to Antifa, intentionally to turn us into civil war. It isn’t that far fetched..

fine. let’s splatter a few dozen of their unreliable, whacked out semi-cooperative muslim “allies”, and call it a day.

everyone wins!

The only correct side is the side not butchering innocents. That would be Russia and Syria.

Putin has successfully transformed Syria into a client state with Russian navy access to the Mediterranean.

Is Syria worth getting into a war with the Russians? Not in my mind it isn’t.

In Syria? We have no right to be in Syria, and should not be supporting troops within the country opposed to the Assad government.

Syria’s been a Russian client state since the 50s. Not sure why you’re worried about ancient history.
