As the staggering national student loan debt tally sits at an all-time high of $1.33 trillion, according to the Department of Education, many Millennials say they would go to extreme lengths to wipe their slate clean.

According to a new survey from Credible, a personal finance website, 50% of all respondents (ages 18-34) said they would give up their right to vote during the next two presidential elections in order to never have to make another loan payment again.

Why not 2 years in the military? Get student loan forgiveness that way? Higher education is a scam anyway, which is obvious since if 50% of “Millenials” want their slate wiped clean at any cost, then they’re probably not able to pay for it with the educations they got.

They should not be allowed to vote until they pay off their student loans.

That’s how this should work.

Since the vast majority of colleges and universities have turned into little more than indoctrination mills turning out obedient little Dembots, I’d be OK with this, it’s the difference between the country being broke as hell with an idiotic crop of young people wanting full blown socialism and the ability to vote, and the country being really, really broke as hell but that idiotic crop of young people wanting full blown socialism unable to vote. Sounds fair to me.

Disgusting yet maybe LOGICAL..?

Short of Trump I’m not sure it matters if you vote for ANYONE.

What, really, is the difference between the parties..?

We elect Repubes, then they throw themselves into the most exotic gymnastics to explain why they did nothing, why they need juuuuust a LITTLE MORE and THEN they will move mountains.

It’s like Scotty’s Castle in Death Valley;

He spun tales to all about his huge desert palace, even leading a big mule train of investors out there to behold it.

It was alllllllways juuuust over the next sand dune:

There was NOTHING, old Scotty was simply really good at spinning a good yarn.

(he later got the funding)

however, the odds are that these would be communistic type voters (since many of them haven’t gotten either employable skills or jobs, nor have many started businesses

so.... maybe it might be worth considering?

If they give up their right to vote, they should also give up their right to protest.

"...give up the right to vote for two elections..."

If one is a committed Conservative recent graduate who resides in San Francisco or similar, it's a sweet deal.
Republican candidate likely won't win in that area...plus one would get a six-figure gift from taxpayers.

College is a joke for most people these days. Let's not devalue the military the same way we did higher ed.

This would be great, most are young libera women.

And being women, as soon as their debt was cancelled, they would start demanding to get their voting rights back.

Hey - if we could GUARANTEE they did not vote - I’d be willing to write off their loans. We already know how they are voting now, and can expect nothing else later on.
