Dream Act Amnesty Would Legalize A Lot More Immigrants Than DACA Beneficiaries

President Donald Trump’s wish that Congress pass amnesty to protect Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) beneficiaries could end up putting nearly 2 million illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship.

Trump announced that the DACA amnesty program will be rescinded in March 2018 in order to give Congress time to “legalize” the program that protects roughly 800,000 illegal immigrants.

We need to lobby Congress to oppose this huge amnesty. Democrats and liberal Republicans may think that they can put together a majority vote for this. It can be stopped. This is exactly what America voted against last year.

Yes, 800,000 illegal "kids" where brought there mostly in families. We are talking about 3-5 or more illegal aliens with just these people. NO AMNESTY!

If a "kid" is given amnesty, it should be conditioned on turning in and proving illegal family has left or is turned in for deportation. They must go.

was commenting earlier this evening, when they give you a rounded number (800,000), it means that either they don’t really know, or they lying their asses off, and don’t want to tell you the real number.

I’ve seen numbers as low as 675,000 and now as high as 2 million.

Lots of problems here. What is “acceptable” proof of age at illegal entry? “Undocumented” means no legal status, but you can bet they will find somebody that will swear they were kids in an affidavit. That was one of the ugly features of the Reagan era amnesty. And what if they are now married to another illegal who was not a child (whatever the cutoff age turns out to be)?

I hope EVERYONE saw the article where some official working for DACA said HALF of the applications were fraudulent and wee signed off on anyway.
