Hillary Clinton was stunned when then-FBI Director James Comey reopened the agency's investigation into her private email server just days before the 2016 election, she told TODAY on Wednesday in her first live interview since the race.
"I thought what is he doing … the investigation is closed," Clinton said about Comey's Oct. 28 letter that reintroduced his agency's probe of her emails.
"I was just dumbfounded," she added. "It became clear this was not necessary, he could have called me up."

Well Hillary, the rest of the nation was dumbfounded when that investigation ignored things on the public record to supposedly exonerate you.
Comey did nothing more than become a visible accomplice after the fact, at that point.
When was she NOT dumbfounded? Libs are so easy.

Comey only took over the investigation to keep the NYPD from leaking more shocking evidence.

She was surprised because she had already worked out a deal with Comey.
By that point, Comey thought Hillary had the election in the bag and was probably just trying to rattle her cage a bit to remind her that she couldn’t dump him after she was President.
Called her up and reminded her that she had better not dump him after she was elected because he knew where the bodies were buried.
Comey may be big but that is not the same as smart or honest.
Any sane person knows the Clintons are criminal grifters

Well, we were dumbfounded when Comey claimed intent was required for prosecution under the law in question, when a subsection clearly does not mention intent. So Hillary, I guess we’re even.
“Smartest woman in the world” is constantly dumbfounded.
He couldn't cover Clintons wide behind any longer and KNEW there would be hell to pay if he did not reopen that investigation. IMO, he was hoping to cover his own behind by doing so. Good for him and I am extremely grateful THANKS for blocking her election.
