Three or four families in a single family house seems to be the norm in Mexican neighborhoods. Or, to be more exact, once one house in a neighborhood goes this route, it quickly becomes an all-Mexican neighborhood as people who don’t appreciate filth and squalor start moving out.

Yep - seems that it would be hard to uphold fining a landlord (or doing anything to him) for following long-established law.

you have a 5 bedroom house renting for 2,700 in San Gabriel Valley. Family move out. You rent to an illegal who asks if he can bring his extended family. You say how many. He says 10. You say, that’s 5,000. He brings in 12 adults at 600 each, pockets the difference and gives you 5,000.
The bastards are NUTS and getting worse!
Here in Massachusetts there are laws about renting. You cannot rent to more than 2 people per bedroom. My husband and I rent properties. I don’t know how they get away with this?
