Next they'll have a law that will require landlords to rent to illegals.

Can you imagine the squalor that the typical illegal immigrant tenants create in a house or apartment? They typically pack one to two dozen people together into a one or two bedroom apartment in order to pool their meager resources together. By the time they leave, the place is so filthy that it become unrentable to anybody else.

I still think cutting off ALL, repeat ALL federal assistance to ANY state that protects illegals should be implemented IMMEDIATELY. Let the states pay for the freeloaders, not those of us not living there.

Yep, all we have to do is enforce current law. Jail a few landlords and confiscate their buildings and that’ll stop.

Federal law requires citizens to report crimes to proper authorities.

Yet, this state law would forbid it?

And the silly commies in CA think they can enforce their silly law.

“Federal law requires citizens to report crimes to proper authorities.”

What law? I’d like to use that fact if the need arises.

I can’t wait for Jeff “Limp Dick” Sessions to bring California into federal court here.

“Can you imagine the squalor that the typical illegal immigrant tenants create in a house or apartment?”

Several years ago, one of my wife’s nieces moved to Sonoma, CA from North Carolina and purchased a home that was in foreclosure. The four or five Mexican families that had banded together to purchase this home for $750,000 bailed when, thanks to the downturn, it’s value had sunk to $350,000. I can tell you without reservation that the home’s interior was so dirty and trashed, that I was forced to spray all the walls and ceilings with primer as a first step, because you could not adequately prepare the surfaces for repainting by simply washing them down. They had erected walls in the living and dining rooms to provide more “bedrooms,” and they had cut an additional outside window in the living room but it was left unfinished and open to the outside around it’s perimeter. The swimming pool was dark green, and the kitchen sink and garbage disposal were “welded together” and had to be removed in one piece. ALL of the plug outlets and light switches were so damaged that they had to be replaced.
That my friend is how Mexican illegals live. They were probably there to pick grapes.

“This is clearly unconstitutional, as it interferes with the federal government’s laws on immigration.”

First things first. It is a violation of the First Amendment.

” Jail a few landlords and confiscate their buildings and that’ll stop.”

Better still, jail the State Legislators who voted for this illegal piece of legislation. The landlords are the victims.

This bill is a direct violation of federal law:

18 U.S. Code § 4 - Misprision of felony

Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

The civil war is here. California is in a state of rebellion to the Constitution and it’s government and it’s political leaders should be arrested and prosecuted for treason and sedition.

And then shot.

Simple solution:

Call ICE and report possible illegals. When ICE shows up, they take the illegals into custody. If the police show up to arrest the landlord, then ICE, along with federal, marshals, arrests them too for aiding, abetting, and harboring known fugitives.

Do this a few times, and the police will get the message.

Federal immigration law trumps all state laws and statutes.

All it takes is the will to enforce it.

Last time I looked Federal Law supersedes CA illegalities.

I choose to ignore CA Law.

If California is in open rebellion against Federal Law, roll the freaking tanks! It’s either going to happen now or later.
