This will probably be a nothing burger.

We are at the "peak" here in Columbus, light rain and nothing special winds. Nothingburger is right, though I got to go home early for it.

We are getting strong winds and rain right now.

Lost my repair job on the chicken coop. The girls are dry and safe for now.

By the way: masking tape to protect windows from wind is no longer recommended.

Using masking tape or duct tape to place tape in the shape of an “X” across the window is ineffective and provides a false sense of security. It also creates a problem by leaving a sticky residue on the window when the tape is removed.

I used the blue painter's tape which leaves no discernible residue. I actually used the tic-tac-toe pattern I saw in New England in the '70s. The other alternatives listed were more hassle and money than I would spend on a rental as we were far enough inland as to not get the real serious stuff. I guess I should have used nothing. I'm out $5.88, but the kids had 20 minutes of entertainment.

Well, I guess using a roll of painter’s tape to entertain the kids is never a bad thing, even if it won’t keep your windows from breaking.
