Father God,

Make Your Almighty Presence known to Your faithful in
the hurricanes, floods and fires of today,
and in the months and years of struggle for recovery ahead.
We stand on Your promise never to abandon the people who believe in You.
May faith in Your Salvation and Providence bear the afflicted up and over every challenge.
Bring doubters to Your heart through these catastrophes, by the witness of
the helping hands of the Messiah surrounding them.

And prayers up for those who have lost loved ones on 9/11. On this upcoming anniversary, Lord, send Your Holy Spirit to comfort the survivors.
Lord, in our grief may we turn to You, binding ourselves stronger in Your love and mercy.

Thank You, Father, for a President that is calling us to Your feet, the only One who saves. You have put Your heart in him, and we know that this will turn for our deliverance. May we, as a Nation, be born again. We call You righteous and holy and worthy of praise.

We pray for our fellow FReepers and their families in harm's way in Texas and Florida and Montana and Washington. Hide them in the shadow of Your wings. Demonstrate Your care and compassion.
