Well, Whoopi, it's like this.
There are these people called "voters." Each one of them selects, or votes for, one candidate. The candidate whom most people vote for wins the election. Some voters had their votes negated through vote fraud. Despite that, enough of them selected Trump that he won the election.
(Well, the electoral college plays a role, but I figure that concept is way beyond Whoopi Goldberg's ability to grasp.)
