‘Great Comet,’ Broadway hit shuttered by political correctness, delivers final performance

It's funny but we are always told something like "rich African heritage" or some such thing. But apparently such a rich heritage has produced very little "art" that anyone wants to see.

If this cultural heritage is so "rich" why do they have to miscast Hamilton and War and Peace? Don't they have their own stuff to star in? I mean every February we are told about this "rich" culture from their ancient homeland but never see it.

Of course it is pretty hard to have a literature when your heritage doesn't provide literacy, books, or a written language.

Josh Groban is, surprisingly, a potty-mouthed disgusting liberal. I was so sickened by his “F.U.” tweets to Trump supporters that I will no longer listen to his music. That guy is deranged. Used to be a big fan, no more.

I saw this show with Josh Groban.

Great show. Very engaging and interestingly staged. For a while, in late Spring/early Summer, it was a really hot ticket.

It is a shame it could not be allowed to survive.

I love Broadway shows. Can’t go to Broadway to see them but when they come to the left coast I go. Have tickets for Dirty Dancy this month and Phantom of the Opera in San Diego next year.
I have absolutely no desire to see Hamilton...no matter how many rave reviews it gets.

A few months back I and some friends went to see Hammerstein’s Cinderella. They had written politics into it!
We have tickets for Dirty Dancing here in town and then Phantom in San Diego next year. I’m really hoping they haven’t politicized DD. I know they won’t touch Phantom.

It’s like Islam. Anywhere a Muslim has prayed is forever a mosque.

And municipal voting patterns. Anywhere a large city has elected a black mayor, every mayor afterwards must be black until the city lies in ruins. I cite Philadelphia as an example. After Detroit had five black mayors from 1974 to 2013 and ultimately collapsed, they elected a white mayor in 2014 to clean it up. But should it ever be on its feet again...

A black friend told me in total confidence that this is because slavery decimated Africa's human resources.

I refrained from citing the rapacious muslim capture of millions of white Europeans as slaves for their sheiks and potentates, or of slave traders' capture of thousands of Irish refugees of the potato famine to work in the sugar plantations of the West Indes (and interbreed with African slaves to make a better strain of slaves, in their opinion) without it having decimated the cultural accomplishments of Europe.

That’s exactly my point: that ethnic rigidity in casting forces silly decisions: It’d be rather hard to find a Jew to play Jesus.
