9 men thrown off Ryanair flight for shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’

Nine men have been thrown off a Ryanair flight for allegedly shouting “Allahu Akbar” and claiming to carry bombs, which they later said was a “joke.” The group was removed from the Madrid-bound flight before it took off from Zaventem Airport, Brussels early Saturday.

The airport was targeted by suicide bombers in the Brussels attacks on March 22, 2016, in which 32 people were killed and over 300 injured

Following the disruptive passengers’ removal, the Boeing 737-800 was briefly evacuated and searched before departing with a two-hour delay around 9:15am local time.

Spokesperson for the Belgian federal police, Peter De Waele, confirmed the incident to RT.com, and said one man was arrested.

If nine Muslims jump up on my flight yelling "Allah Akbar", at least one of them will have a pen shoved through their eye socket and into their brain pan before any stewardess would have to deal with the aftermath of their "joke". Find a jury that would convict me and not allow for Self Defense in that scenario.

I just did a search on RyanAir, and the top 3 stories that come up are "Ryanair passengers witness midair brawl from Newcastle to Alicante" and "Ryanair passenger banned for life for drunken flights" and "Holidaymaker's wheelchair ruined on RyanAir flight"... all reported within in the last 6 hours.

I concur on the 10000 feet. Bacon might be scarce on the average flight... but they all have altitude. I wouldn’t require any rerouting either. Just boot them out the door at cruising altitude, wherever you happen to be. Maybe give them complimentary peanuts for the ride down.
