The love of a mother. No other kind of love can even compare.

Folks get worked up and make comments like this. It's not productive or even true.

I know the love of God can compare. I mentioned this, and you got offended and called it blasphemy.

Reminding folk of God's love is now blasphemy? Really?

I'm not taking anything away from this woman. She evidently tried to keep her child save up until the last breath in her body. What an admirable thing to do. She deserves kudos, not statements that come close to blurring the line of reality.

If no other love is more special than that of a mother, why are there so many abortions?

The person who said this thinks fathers don't love their children as much as a mother does?

Do they think people who adopt children don't love their children with a fervor?

Sure I think mothers love their kids. So do fathers. So do adoptive parents.

I think these sorts of love are every bit as strong as a mother's love. I will also say again, God loves us every bit as much as we love our children.

BTW: That's not blasphemy.

I am as Texas proud as anyone..5th gerneration.
The love and protective instinct of a mother is not unique to Texas mothers.

The "blasphemy" came from the humorous/ironic tone of your first post. No one disagrees that God's love is vastly greater than we miniscule humans can comprehend - but a mother's love comes from God's love and can be the purest reflection of Our Lord's love that can exist in us.

The Mother who died to save her infant daughter died in love.

"Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends"John 15:13

This young woman deserved better than rude jokes for her memory.

I’m arguing that not many would drown themselves to save their children’s lives. Our culture is corrupt. That woman deserves special credit.

The "blasphemy" came from the humorous/ironic tone of your first post.

I addressed the issue of God's love and Jesus' love.  The idea that addressing these two entities is somehow HUMOROUS, or that the mention was somehow delivered in an IRONIC TONE, is pure vaporware for thought.

You didn't like it because I poked holes in the original premise, that nothing could be compared to a mother's love.  It was an idiot-stick comment then, and it remains so.

Fathers, siblings, adoptors, and other caretakers can and do love children as much as any mother could.

Further, I have already pointed out to you that we have had millions of abortions, over 50 million at last count, obtain by who?  Their mothers.

Don't preach to me about the unmatchable love of mothers.  Not buying it.  It's a figment of your imagination.

Can mothers love their children as much as anyone else?  Sure.  In some instances I'm sure more.  In all instances?  That's just pure fantasy, and an insult to others.

No one disagrees that God's love is vastly greater than we miniscule humans can comprehend - ...

Is this you being HUMEROUS, USING AN IRONIC TONE, OR BLASPHEMING GOD?  You're now agreeing with my original post.  Oh the irony.

It is rather difficult to ingore the obvious.

...but a mother's love comes from God's love and can be the purest reflection of Our Lord's love that can exist in us.

If mother's love comes from God, where does Father's love come from?  Duh!

Fathers, siblings, adopters, and others can love every bit as much as mothers, and in clear instances on the record sometimes a lot more.

As for the purest form of Our Lord's love that can exist, in your dreams and nowhere else.

The Mother who died to save her infant daughter died in love.

Wow, what an amazing statement.  Nobody knew that but you!  /s  Nobody has been arguing otherwise, so this is a toss out to gain support and nothing more.

"Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends"John 15:13

Although the word "man" is used here, I agree when it comes to women also.  And I believe it is exemplified in this case, however had the person been the father, the same verse would have applied just as accurately.  If an adoptive parent had done it, the same.  If a stranger on the street had done it, the same verse would apply.  You are grasping at straws to back your misperceptions.

This young woman deserved better than rude jokes for her memory.

You poor thing.  Pointing out that it was wrong to state that only mothers can love their children to the level they do, is not a rude joke, or a pointed attack on this woman.  It's a refutation of a severely flawed premise, clearly a massive insult to fathers and others.  Siblings feel love.  The comment implies they can't love on the order of a mother.  WRONG!

At no point in my original post, or in our subsequent conversation have I said one derogatory thing about this woman.  I have instead stated that she did her best to save her child with her dying breath.  That is a compliment, and it stands on it's own merits..

You really are unhinged.

Hey guys, please stop pinging me with these back and forth Postings.

I’m the one that made the original joke which was in response to the Media’s attack on the FLOTUS for daring to wear Stilettos and the Liberals who said that Texas deserved the Death and Destruction because they Voted for President Trump.

I think this has been beat to death, pardon the pun.

I will stop pinging you in.

The only reason I did, was that you made a comment on it, and I thought you might be interested.

Take care.

Your heels comment was reasoned. It was an observation about the way the Left is operating these days. It was accurate, and certainly not an insult to the woman here.

In a way, it framed the woman here as someone who shouldn’t be belittled, and Melania as someone who wouldn’t have been respected.

We all know that to be true too.
