RUSH: I have collected a bunch of things from last week that I must comment on. I cannot let these things pass. But I don’t know if I’m gonna get to any or all of it today.
But I’m gonna get to it, such as that idiot Clapper on CNN last week after the Trump rally in Phoenix and what he said. This is the former national security adviser for Obama, and he’s on TV, on CNN, I didn’t know he’s become a CNN analyst or Democrat strategist or whatever they call the guy. Did you hear what he said? Were you paying attention? We’ve got it on tape here if we get to it. But he said essentially, “I’m scared. I don’t think a man like this, I can’t believe he’s president. So unfit, has no business being in office. This is a horrible, horrible thing.”
And then he said, “And what worries me even more is the kind of people who would be attracted to a rally like this, I’m terribly, terribly –” Who the hell are you, punk? And I’m watching this stuff, this is arrogant condescension. This swamp stuff, it’s getting worse. Even though Russia has vanished, although it actually hasn’t, it’s still lurking in the weeds out there.

All it would take is, one person, just one person with cajones the size of beach balls, to hold one of these clowns accountable for their lies and/or actions. The domino’s would soon fall and maybe, just maybe, the ship might get back on course. But when you can go from one government job to another, to a think tank to a government job, to Wall St to a government job, to K St to a govt job, in an endless cycle, you’d find yourself living in fantasy land. Which is where these people live.
However, that person would more than likely end up like Seth Rich or any number of the other people that ended up on the clinton’s hit list.
Director of National Intelligence James Clapper appeared on Public Television shortly before the presidential election for an extended interview with Charlie Rose. Mister Rose, like many of his peers these days, swings between hard news at dusk and bimbo chat at dawn.
Indeed, Charlie is the very model of a Beltway double-dipper, a celebrity groupie who feeds at public and commercial troughs, PBS and CBS. On any given day, Rose might be seen giggling with celebrities in the morning on CBS and then lofting softballs to political touts in the evening on PBS.
The Council on Foreign Relations was the venue for the recent Clapper show. “Impartial, non-profit” think tanks are often used to provide the appropriate gravitas to administration spin.
The Clapper performance, just before the November election, seemed to be of a piece with several other Intelligence officials who campaigned against Donald Trump.
And the Clapper interview, like many administration dog-and-pony shows, was not about transparency or openness or even information per se. In another day, any public chat with an Intelligence official might have been relegated to the desinformatsiya file.
Today, Intelligence officials like Clapper and CIA Director John Brennan play other, and some might say sinister, if not partisan roles.
