They have been lying all along about everything else concerning climate change but believe them on this.

Oh ye of little faith.

“We can’t say that Hurricane Harvey was caused by climate change. But it was certainly worsened by it.

What can we say about the role of climate change in the unprecedented disaster that is unfolding in Houston with Hurricane Harvey? There are certain climate change-related factors that we can, with great confidence, say worsened the flooding.”

“Sea level rise attributable to climate change – some of which is due to coastal subsidence caused by human disturbance such as oil drilling – is more than half a foot over the past few decades.”

So...you’d saying that the coastal subsidence is due to oil drilling not climate change, unless there is a particular offshoot of the English language you’re using that you’re not telling us about? In other words, if you didn’t scratch the hemorrhoids on your ass that come from sitting down for so many hours concocting this nonsense, then your chair would be slightly higher because you had not wiggled your ass in it so much, so it would not suffer so badly in a flood, which you would then also attribute to climate change, right?

“That means the storm surge was half a foot higher than it would have been just decades ago, meaning far more flooding and destruction.”

Due to subsidence from oil drilling, right? So it has nothing to do with climate change?

I didn’t think so.

#10: "More deadly than what?"

Hmmm. Good question. Let's see:

Yup, must be global warming.

Lucky they didn’t have climate change in 1900 or that Galveston storm could have been nasty. /s

Now hear this! From now on every sentence must end with the phrase “caused by or made worse by Global Warming”.

So it is spoken, so shall it be.

Mock them mercilessly.

Let’s wait and see, without holding back any concern for the folks in Houston, but really, climate change made Harvey “more deadly”. Deaths in Katrina was nearly 2,000 and 40-60% of New Orleans folks were evacuated to other states; some to take up temporary quarters somewhere and thousands who never went back.

So, again, with all due sympathy for the folks in Houston, I think many reports are greatly over-rating the human calamity dimension of Harvey.

All WX is when there is a difference in temperature for two or more adjacent geographies. It could be on Jupiter where a -243 degree region is next to a -255 degree region and there is a fierce storm. It could be on the surface of the Sun where there is a region 5778K degrees next to a region that is cold 5770K degrees and there is a fierce storm on the Sun surface.

If all of Earth were in the -100 degree range or the +100 degree range there will always be differences in temperature that are nearby. There will always be storms.

So, can the idiot explain why climate change didn’t produce a noticeable hurricane in 12 years but a single cat 4 somehow proves climate change??

Harvey was almost certainly more intense than it would have been in the absence of human-caused warming, which means stronger winds, more wind damage and a larger storm surge.

It looks like this dope used the wrong document template for his fraudulent screed. I haven't seen a single report from Houston about wind or a storm surge. He didn't even mention the one characteristic of this storm that is all over the news: 40+ inches of rain.

Let’s see, what rare event recently caused a drop in temperatures all across the US that might have changed weather patterns in the short term?

Just throwing out something I bet climatologist haven’t studied much....
