This flooding in Houston isnt because of mythical rising sea levels and certainly isnt caused by mythical man-made climate changeWell pouring 999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,998,765,432,101.33 Gazillion Yards of Concrete (and Asphalt about the same)leaving about 27.3 Square Inches of soil for the water to drain down to the Water Table certainly did not help.
They won't admit it but all those Highrise Office Buildings are REALLY GIANT RAIN GAUGES!!!

Highrise apartments (priced higher per square foot than the old homes they replaced) are more to blame. “Smart growth” they called it.
Nope. Smart cronyism among the Democrat pols and the real estate moguls of this city.

(Did Barack Obama denounce Communism and dictatorships when he visited Cuba as a puppet of the State?)

What pisses me off is the implication that Obama’s last-minute standards even made any sense. I don’t know enough to judge either way...but I do understand liberals, and so these ‘standards’ likely were just another ‘gift’ from the Left to the incoming Trump Administration.

Local Dems and Republicans alike have probably been in the developers' pockets for decades. In the case of Houston, I'm going to take a wild guess ... that it's about 99% the fault of Dem pol$ and their developer cronie$.

The rule signed by former president Barack Obama in 2015 had not yet come into effect
So, this is a moot point -- as in 'would'a, should'a, could'a'.
