Howdy! I’m watching live footage of the hurricane, so I’m not paying much attention right now. Hope you had a good day! We got an inch of rain last night and another 1/10th this afternoon.

Watching the Weather Channel while checking out the day’s news at FR. Didn’t get to do that earlier today.

Y’all got some nice rainfall last night and today! Bet your hubby’s happy he won’t have to water the lawn for a little while. :-)

We’ve been enjoying some really nice temps the past few days - low 80s - along with low-ish humidity. The nights have been pretty chilly with lows in the low 60s, even upper 50s. 80s through the next 7 days to boot!

No rain for us until Mon. when a cold front comes through. If it’s strong enough, it’ll keep Harvey’s rains south of us.

He is very happy that he won’t have to water for a while...but he WILL have to mow more. LOL!

Hope it stays cooler for you guys. It has been in the mid-to-high 80s here. Not bad at all. Like 72-74 in the mornings. Ahhhh....

The way Harvey is moving, I doubt if we get any moisture from it, but we’re way over our normal amount. I’m not complaining. :)

Good evening, radu...are you and Baby ready for the cruise-in? Weather cooperating?

I’ve just spent the last hour or so trying to explain that naming the hurricane Harvey is NOT a conspiracy. Why couldn’t this have been a “G” or “I” hurricane. And then the news kept saying the last Cat 3 hurricane to make land was Wilma.

“How do they know our names and why are they using them on tv.” And on and on and on. Peg said she tried explaining for 15 minutes earlier in the day. *sigh*

Then she told me Suzye left her alone so long, and didn’t answer the button, that she had to get up and use the commode by herself. More *sigh*

It’s been a rough evening, and now I have a raging headache, so I’m going to try to sleep in my bed and not at the computer.

We could use some rain here but Hubby’s not in any hurry. He enjoys breaks from mowing when he gets them. Having several acres to mow, who can blame him?

We hope it stays cooler too! This isn’t typical Aug. weather and it’s been reeeeeeeeally nice. The humidity will crank back up next week and there are rain chances every day starting Monday. With temps in the 80s rather than the 90s, it’ll be tolerable.

Yep, Baby’s spiffed up for the cruise-in tomorrow and the weather is going to be nice for it. What’s really nice is the temp will be about 10 degrees cooler than it usually is when this cruise-in is held.
Looking forward to seeing folks I haven’t seen in a while, seeing the other pretty cars, and chowing down on yummy Jiffy Burger food.

Hoo boy! Maybe you need to keep your mom from watching any news for the next few days. She really needed something more to set her off. NOT!

Wonder why she’s mad at Suzye today and wanting to get back at her. VERY hard to believe Suzye did that.

Sleeping in your bed rather than at the computer sounds ideal! LOL

Yikes! This is why we don’t live in the country. I’d have to buy a sheep to mow. Hubby sure wouldn’t want to. LOL!

I hope it stays nice and “almost” cool for both of us. I’ve been a lot less crabby. :)
