Of course they should.
Unless they all stay, they all must come down.
To show their good faith all black related statues would be taken down also.
Sanger was certainly a racist. Darwin, on the other hand, was not as the term races merely means species in his works. He can’t be blamed for others intentional misuse of his work.
Just erase history when it offends you!
We don’t need no steenken’ history!
Every Ancient Greek and Roman statue or structure must also come down. But no mosques, even though Muslims still practice slavery. In some cultures slavery is OK.
Leave all where they are. It is part of our history whether we like it or not.
They should put them together; kissing.
We on the Right need to stop trying to find workarounds whenever the Left imposes their dictatorial will on us. The argument shouldn't be "if they're taking down this statue, then we need to take down one of theirs."
What we need to do is FIGHT! We need to get 2,500 patriots to surround the statue of John Hunt Morgan, in front of the courthouse in Lexington, KY, and tell them to f**k off, they're not moving the statue. Fight, people! Our ancestors did...how are you going to look them in the eye when you go to meet your Maker? Fight, dammit!!
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Even the negative aspects of history are a form of enlightenment. Scorned though these figures may be today, in their lifetimes they loomed large on the stage, and without this nuance to provide the light and shadow, it is impossible to properly evaluate the past.
The only objective in covering up or erasing the past is to somehow prove the “new way” is unique, and being unique, there can be no going back. But every one of these “new ways” has been tried at some point in the past, and still shown to have failed every time. Any form of “command and control”, though it appears to be efficient and able to get things done initially, eventually ends up with way more control that is acceptable - prison camps for “re-education”, or mass graves deep in the woods somewhere, for the more intransigent who “fail” the re-education process. Various individual freedoms, largely taken for granted in the United States of America for the better part of a couple centuries, are either suppressed, or actively written out of the law, either legislatively, or by “selective” law enforcement and/or judicial review of legal decisions until the “right” interpretation is found.
And lets have American History dropped in High Schools...all public schools. Same with English.
Don’t forget Che and Lenin statues!
It would be pretty hard to argue with your logic.
