“Grownup” educated bullies. The very same “adults” who are outraged when children bully. Kinda ironic.

Oddly enough, “The Blackboard Jungle” was on TCM earlier this week. I wonder if there are similarities between the high school in the tough area of 1950s NYC and politically correct university campuses of today, eh?

It seems that we are going through a kind of Chinese Cultural Revolution, albeit right now on a smaller scale.

that’s really bad.

“At University College London, a Nietzsche Society was banned for fear it might stoke far-right thinking.”

Their self-implosion is happening, sooner than expected.

IN the US the lawyers have taken over higher education. All faculty and staff are forced to take annual “training” with these shysters narrating the title IX directives, and it is the same thing every year, mandatory or else. Threats of punishment are made if anyone fails to comply. The specific punishment is not defined and will be up to individual administrators. The public outside the system has no idea what is going on.

Who cares about education? College has become nothing more than one big party.

$80,000 for four years? With room and board, many private universities cost $40-$70,000/year now, and state colleges are routinely over $30,000/year with room and board.

The public outside has no idea of how hostile higher education has become to free thought and expression. I work part time for two universities now that I am retired from one. Both institutions force annual ‘training sessions” on all faculty, staff, and students. This is just like pre WWII Germany and the commusist death machines that facilitated their takeovers. The basic message in all of this training, is to report all violators, even if you have heard rumors of violators, you are mandated to report. For the record, I do not and will not report.

“College administrators need to stand up and say, “Sorry. You don’t have the right to go through life unoffended. You don’t like it, go to another school. We will refund your tuition in full if you leave ASAP.””

They will never give up money for principle. If Charles Manson donated enough money they would name an endowed chair after him.

Powerful— but essentially the same/or VERY similar message as that published in The Christian Legal Advisor by John Eidsmoe back in 1984. Basically the result of a nation manifesting what President Harry S.Truman said Feb.15,1950 to the Conference on Law Enforcement Problems in the DOJ Auditorium the city of Washington D.C. “.... If we don’t have a proper fundamental moral background (and he stated our fundamental basis for our laws was given to Moses on the Mount) we will end up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the State!” When public Education kicked God, the Bible, and Prayer from School encroaching on the obliteration of the foundation for our national education to appease Madalyn Murray O’Hair and the ACLU —when we then elevated education to cabinet level politics we freed this monster.

Parents,
Send your kids to trade schools instead.

We have seen elements of what I call ‘vice-signalling’ Trumpist rhetoric from the contenders for Ukip’s leadership

He gets a lot about the left, but incorrectly assumes Trump is doing divisional politics. Trump is not. Just listen to his Phoenix speech, contrary to the media it was all for unity and healing minus the media (minus Fox). So the media lied and said the speech was angry and divisive. But Trump was not angry nor divisive. That was simply a lie, and I think this author accepted the lie and didn't watch the actual speech.

Exactly what we have encouraged our kids to do. The oldest is going into law enforcement so he needs a Bachelors. The next one is going to be an electrician- he’s in the program as a post secondary student so will graduate high school and the tech program at the same time. The state covers tuition (which I just realized is less than public schools receive per student) and books, we pay for the required tools. A tremendous opportunity and I’m so grateful he’s taking advantage of it.

“On Friday I will be attending a faculty workshop: two hours will be devoted to PRIVILEDGE.”

What field to you work in? I would be hard pressed not to spend my time ridiculing a “privilege” workshop. Good luck.

Reminds me of the late 1960’s when students who protested did the same thing. I feel like a kid again seeing this article.

Rush read a great article (wish I had the link) about arguments no longer taking place. People don’t debate issues and try to learn and come to conclusions.

Instead now they say, “As a (blank) I feel (blank).”

“As a black woman I don’t feel safe with racist costumes in my dorm.” “As a transgender I feel...”

There’s no debate. You can’t argue with their feelings unless you are also a member of their sub-group. Excuse me, can’t say “sub” as that’s insulting to the bondage community.
