Gregg Jarrett: Trump vs. crooks, liars and the liberal media
Fox News ^ | August 23, 2017 | Gregg Jarrett

Posted on 08/23/2017 7:17:37 PM PDT by jazusamo

President Trump’s speech in Phoenix brought out the usual cast of misfits and miscreants.

And no, I’m not just referring to the “Antifa” anarchists who were, for the most part, denied their typical practice of wielding clubs, hurling feces, throwing rocks, setting vehicles ablaze and destroying buildings.

I’m talking about chronic Trump critics like James Clapper, the former Director of National Intelligence. Spouting off on CNN immediately after the speech, Clapper said he questioned the president’s “fitness to be in this office."

Clapper seems to be making a career out of trashing Trump. He’s like a guy who can’t resist cramming a cannoli in his mouth every time he passes a pastry shop. Whenever Trump speaks, Clapper starts yapping. It is no coincidence that his mouth, and the lie that came out of it back in 2013, is what should have landed him behind bars.

While testifying before Congress, Clapper was asked, “Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?” The DNI responded, “No.”

It was a breathtaking lie, of course. Soon thereafter, the story broke that the National Security Agency had, indeed, been doing exactly what Clapper denied under oath. When confronted with his lie, he told a reporter, “I responded in what I thought was the most truthful, or at least untruthful manner by saying ‘no.’” Huh?

Later, Clapper apologized for his “clearly erroneous” answer, but explained he had simply forgotten all about the massive government operation to secretly collect metadata on hundreds of millions of U.S. citizens. That’s like saying Christmas slipped his mind.

Unfit old man Clapper.

Don Lemon just had Woosley on. He kept trying to get Woosley to back Clapper and Woosley wasn’t having any of it.

The memo of the day is that Trump is ‘unstable’ (the banner from moment one after the speech was ‘divisive, bitter, etc speech)

Woosley said he didn’t see ‘instability’ and that Trump was doing a good job in many different areas. Lemon couldn’t get rid of him fast enough.

Clapper and many others have a big stake in the Trump Presidency. If you were looking at the possibility of a lifetime in prison for conspiring to overturn the results of the 2016 election you would not be saying nice thinks about Trump either.

Used to see Gregg Jarrett as a working run-of-the mill journalist - nothing spectacular -lately he’s been doing more analytic work, especially on Hannity and Lou Dobbs and is pretty impressive, especially when it comes to legal stuff - shooting down the Russian collusion and going after the Awan boys - another strong voice to replace some that have been lost like Bolling....

Totally agree, Jarrett is doing a good job and is sounding like a conservative.

This is why the corrupt, spoiled sponsors of the big media companies recently intensified their hostility through their well paid perverts.

They are extremely vain. To a great extent, they control this country for now and spread their social diseases (and venereal diseases) for lack of competition from competent writers and broadcasters in operations.

I laugh when I think of dorks like Clapper and other liberal, progressive, and socialist trash talking about President Trump’s fitness and qualification for office. After 8 years of being president, Obama was still unqualified for the office. At least President Trump has a background of a successful businessman.

Exactly. I half didn’t like him. Had no idea he’s an attorney. He seemed to recently come out of nowhere after changing clothes in a phone booth. Very impressed with how vocal he is in his criticism of the whole FBI, NSA, DOJ, Independant Counsel subversive cabal.

Yep...The WH press pool are like a school of sharks on a feeding frenzy when they can perform before a camera and it’s a subject they can try to belittle President Trump with.

They’re pathetic.

Next, they will say it is unfair for anyone with above average intelligence, to be president, that he had an unfair advantage over the Hildebeast, because she is rather dimwitted.

We like to pick on the journalists but somebody is paying them and that somebody is the one who makes sure they get a current script to read and that it’s read as written. At the bottom of this corruption there is little doubt it’s the crony elites who are getting fat and rich from federal loot.

Gregg Jarrett used to be an innocuous, slightly anti-Trump fill-in news commentator on Fox, who got busted a couple of years back for DUI and was taken off Fox for a period of about 6 months. One day he popped back up on Fox to continue as a newsman. He must have had an epiphany when off for those months drying out, because when he came back, slowly but surely he started being very pro-Trump (I think he didn’t like the unfair media attacks on Trump and faux legal analysis by other news stations) and started defending Trump both in print with pithy articles and legal news analysis that was right on point.

He has a sharp legal mind, and I’m glad he’s on Trump’s side now so vociferously. It appears he’s banished his personal drink demons, become a great advocate for Trump from a legal analysis point of view, and is now a much larger figure in the Fox pantheon of news commentators.

Jarrett is both on Fox News and appears a lot now on FBN as well. I for one admire his comeback from relative obscurity on Fox to one of its main speakers now. Nice going Gregg, you had it in you to do the right thing, both for yourself and for President Trump. Long may your burgeoning career on Fox remain.

Thanks for the great run-down on Gregg Jarrett, Flaglady.

I, too, enjoy and appreciate the great pro-Trump work he's doing these days on Fox. I look forward to his serious, analytical and spot-on information he is blessing us with in this days of fake news.
