Washington (CNN)The White House has prepared the paperwork for President Trump to pardon former sheriff Joe Arpaio when he makes the final decision to do so, CNN has learned. An administration official said the White House has also prepared talking points to send to surrogates after he is pardoned. One of the talking points is that Arpaio served his country for 50 years in the military, the Drug Enforcement Administration and as Arizona's Maricopa County sheriff, and that it is not appropriate to send him to prison for "enforcing the law" and "working to keep people safe."

CNN and the rest of the MSM just can’t wait for Trump to pardon Arpaio! They can’t wait to declare that this is further “proof” that Trump is a “birther” and “racist,” etc.

Arpaio, I think, wants a pardon. The guy is 85 and probably does want to take a chance he might die going through and appeals process.

I have met Sheriff Joe personally, work-related charity community events. He is a good Catholic family man, has truly given his life to REAL public service. His job as sheriff was 24/7 all year long, he and his wife gave up their lives to serve the public. In his “spare” time, he did a lot of work raising money for and finding homes for abused animals.
Sheriff Joe was not doing “immigration sweeps,” he did crime sweeps which happened to involve lots of criminal illegal aliens. He was enforcing immigration laws that Obama and his corrupt administration were breaking. Some hack Rat-tard judge charged him with contempt of court and did not allow him to have a jury trial. She knew if he had a jury trial, he would be acquitted.
The prosecution of Sheriff Joe was a 100% corrupt political witch hunt by the Obama administration.

Funny about that! I suspect this is an approved leak, though, to reassure “the base” and Arpaio that things are actually in the works.
Now THAT is really sad! Pathetic, actually. They all know that Barry is a fraud and they have just been fighting a rear guard action to protect him all of these years. They are smart enough to read his criminally evasive behavior just like we have done at every turn, as quite a few of them are defense attorneys!
