These parents feel betrayed by the school district that they were not notified, said Karen England of the Capitol Resource Institute, according to CBS Sacramento. The kindergartners came home very confused, about whether or not you can pick your gender, whether or not they really were a boy or a girl, England said at the board meeting Monday night. I want her to hear from me as a parent what her gender identity means to her and our family, a meeting attendee said regarding her daughter. Its really about the parents being informed and involved and giving us the choice and rights of whats being introduced to our kids, and at what age, said another. My daughter came home crying and shaking so afraid she could turn into a boy, another parent said at the meeting.

It’s simple to unconfuse them. Explain to them they’re homeschooled kids.
Pay the school board a visit and run for school board.
If you’re in doubt whether you’re a boy or girl, look down and resolve those doubts.
>>girls grow into women, boys grow into men, regardless of how they chose to dress or what interests they pursue.
Its pretty sad when the national conversation has devolved to having to point out the obvious to people, isnt it! A sad commentary on just how sick our society has become.<<
Did I offend you two with my original Comment / Remark / Observation using the word Feminine to describe my Childhood “Tomboy” Friend, or am I reading too much into your responses? #:^O
It certainly wasn’t my intent to discount Non Feminine Women. Can I play my Man Card to get off the hook? LOL
As with everything in life, "it depends".
Our oldest home schools her two boys (7 and 5) and makes a full time job out of it - prep, classes, grading takes maybe 5 or 6 hours of the day, but then she does a lot of field trips to local museums and such, so there's some travel time... but that's the beauty of the home schooling: she sets the schedule.
We home schooled our youngest of two girls and though the oldest went through public schools, that was some years ago and the foolishness wasn't as full blown as it is now.
Our youngest who we DID home school benefited greatly plus she's a smart gal.
We took advantage of home school programs like a retired physics and chemistry teacher set up shop in a church and taught classes and labs. Parents could either let him do both, or we could do the bookwork as prep for the labs at home then take the student to his facility for the labs. In those disciplines that worked out great as not everyone has a full set of chemistry equipment and all the goodies to demonstrate physics in their homes.
When she got past Calc II and I couldn't keep up, never mind teach it, we got a brainiac college student in our chuch to tutor her twice a week for a small sum, and she took our daughter up through the really eye-glazing stuff. Daughter has her Phd in organic chemistry now.
We both worked while home schooling but we had the good fortune of flexible schedules so we were able to arrange her school days with one parent or the other available. There were other times when we both had to be out, and we gave her homework to keep her busy.
So we've been there done that and are strong supporters of that form of education. For conservative parents unwilling to let their children be exposed to the cesspool of public schools, yet without deep enough pockets to send them to private schools (which we've come to learn cannot always be trusted, either!) it's the only way to go.
In the time we home schooled, colleges were going through the transition from believing schooled kids were dumb and unsocialized to actually preferring them, having experienced home schooled kids, by and large, stand head and shoulders above public schooled kids.
The grade school years are the most challenging - by the time they are "in high school" you have set a work ethic and good study habits such that you can make assignments on the way out the door in the morning, check in by phone over lunch (or go home if you're close by) and grade/discuss lessons at night.
Yes, it's a huge commitment - but isn't it worth it??
You didn’t offend me, kickass! Not at all. : )
Not me. However, it is my opinion that observations of that nature, which one sees fairly often, reinforce the perception that the "tomboys" might have grown up into men, if they had not changed their presentation and/or interests to conform to feminine gender stereotypes.
For this reason, I was emphasizing the fact that a person of the female sex will always be female, and a male a male, regardless of anyone's "gender" perceptions.
I don’t see you pinged to this horrendous child abuse.
Sad that parents need to re-educate their kids from what they were taught in school.
Agreed 100%, TC. When I read your comment, I felt so sad that as a nation, we have to even point out the obvious....that’s all my comment was meant to convey.
It is very sad, especially for the little children who are being programmed (and worse) by crazy adults. I’d be worried about sending my 5-year-old to school. Suppose she decided she was a boy horse one day, instead of a girl horse? They’d call social services if we didn’t facilitate a gender- and species-transition plan!
My point was that we have small Children questioning their Sexuality because they may “act” like the opposite Sex.
The Parents (and so called Educators) who think they are helping their Child by letting their behavior overrule their DNA are nothing but Child Abusers.
Now that it has creeped into our Educational System heads should roll, but they won’t. They will be lauded for their courage or some stupid feel good Liberal group speak.
When I was young the word “Tomboy” was frequently used, but the Girl in question would never had felt it had anything to do with their Gender, just their likes and dislikes.
I cannot imagine raising Children in this day and age.
The World has gone mad.
Isn’t questioning schools transgender policy grounds for removing the children from the abusive parents in CA ?
What gives parents any say in this?
American children are State property.
At most, 4. That included lab time.
They let too many sexual pervert offenses go by without a word for it to get this far. They are super stupid and careless parents.
I know I don’t think I could either. Where we are as a society is beyond insane. Lord, come quickly! God Bless you, Tax-Chick.
Remember the Minnesota policy that not only do parents have no option to remove their kids from transgender brainwashing, the school does not even have to notify the parents. Not sure about Cal.
Puberty blocking hormones to change sex of kids. Scary.
All principled parents should put their daughters and sons in private schools.
Its a really freaky scary thing to be told such horrible things can happen to a little kid. This child abuse needs to end, the School system should be held financially accountable for every child the abused in this way.
