I’m worried that the Charlottesville riots are making the Left psychologically unhinged in the same way that they have been unhinged by the election of Donald Trump, only more so.
The problem with their reaction to Donald Trump is that he seems to so totally vindicate all of their political prejudices that he justifies an even more vicious vilification of anyone who opposes their agenda. Everyone who supports free market capitalism is a rich jerk who looks down on poor people? Check. Anyone who complains about political correctness just wants to be a sexist boor? Check. Anyone who talks hawkishly about Islamic terrorism must be driven by a neurotic need to prove his masculinity? Check. Anyone who doesn’t sign up for the latest iteration of the “diversity” agenda must harbor some kind of implicit sympathy for white nationalists? Yeah, well, check.
These things are not true of the overwhelming majority of people who hold those views. As applied to Trump, they are a bit exaggerated, but close enough to be plausible. So the Left is seduced by the temptation to take this as final proof that everyone who opposes them is just as irredeemably awful as they always suspected. And if that’s true, then there’s no point in making any effort to reach out to the rest of the country, to find out what people really think, to attempt to persuade them, or, God forbid, to learn anything from what they have to say.

I just looked at today’s Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Aug 21st 2017, it shows Trump has 42% approval.
Then I went back to Obama’s approval in his first year of office for Aug 21st 2009, same date and period of office and Obama only had 31% approval.
So as of right now, Trump’s approval is 11 points HIGHER than Obama’s was after 7 months in office.
The fact of the matter is, don’t believe the psyops coming from the dino leftist media, nor from the cheap labor open borders interests and their “Antifa Five” McCain, Graham, Collins, McConnell and that out of office Romney. While these Five go from despised to hated by the Republican base, the Democrats are literally putting a suicide belt on and destroying themselves while thinking they are gaining a winning ticket by becoming the voice of the anti-semitic communist Antifa, BLM terrorists and cop killers, adopting Kim Jong Un as their NeverTrump ally, putting up paintings of police with pig heads in their halls and offices, paintings of the Statue of Liberty with a hijab, hanging with the pro-NK World Workers Party that WANTS America nuked, on and on.
The Democrats think this is a winning ticket?
I can tell you right now it will only be a surprise to them when they lose more seats in 2018 because more losses are coming for the Democrats and CNN anchors will again look shocked at the cameras and ask “What happened?”...
Oh, as for McCain, Collins, McConnell - there is a reckoning coming. The Democrats started off early from day one of the primaries saying Trump is a rapist, a racist, fake news didn’t help this narrative and they failed in the end. After the election it was Trump is a communist Russian agent. We had the cheap labor Republican establishment join in on this one. Didn’t work. Now the line is that Trump is a member of the KKK. We even had the same handful of cheap labor Republicans touting communist Antifa lies thinking this will end Trump and the Growth Agenda and end the wall. But it won’t work, this is not only going to cost the Democrats more seats but likely cost the NeverTrump GOPe deadenders their power as well.
All the while every single Democrat and these handful of GOPe obstructionists have been trying to destroy the enomy by delaying tax cuts. But even that isn’t working out for them, deregulations by Trump have been enough to prevent that.
They won’t even see it coming, that is how deluded the NeverTrumpers are - they are screwed by screwing with the American people, and more losses for them are coming soon.
