Iran approves nearly all of Rouhani's Cabinet picks

Iranian lawmakers on Sunday approved 16 Cabinet members nominated by recently re-elected President Hassan Rouhani, including the first defense minister unaffiliated with the elite, hard-line Revolutionary Guard in 25 years.

Parliament speaker Ali Larijani said 16 of 17 proposed ministers were approved, including Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who negotiated the landmark 2015 nuclear deal with world powers. Oil Minister Began Zanganeh was also approved.

The most votes went to Gen. Amir Hatami for Defense Minister, with 261 out of 288 who voted. He will be the first defense minister with no ties to the hard-line Revolutionary Guard in nearly 25 years.

However, Hatami told parliament that he is committed to advancing Iran’s ballistic missile program, which has drawn Western sanctions. …

That’s why they labeled Rouhani a “moderate”- he invaded Yemen and Syria.There are now more Iranian troops in Syria than there are soldiers in Assad’s army. Rouhani turned Iraq into an Iranian proxy state once Obama pulled out. Soon, Iran will be able to have a full land bridge from Tehran to Tel Aviv. If they control Syria, then they can move ground troops from Iran to Iraq to Syria and from there they can invade Israel either through the Golan heights or through Lebanon, which is also an Iranian proxy state through Hezbollah. Obama fell for the Iranian taqiyyah saying that they would fight Sunni jihadists while spreading their own form of Shia jihadism. The damage has already been done. All we can do now is pray and prepare accordingly.
