In what is eerily evocative of a Stalinist purge of history, all of American history is being scrubbed by the new fascists. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson are now in the cross hairs.
It doesn’t matter to the fascists if it isn’t a Confederate flag. It is a design based on geometric forms that represent the “Crossroads of the World.” But even if they were, it is wrong to remove them.

Remember the flap over creation of a 911 monument to the FDNY, because no female firefighters died at the WTC? Never mind the fact that it’s only *there* because the lib-infested park service refused any Confederate monuments on the freaking Antietam battlefield and a private party paid to have it created, off site.

This latest, with removing an "X" shaped subway tile, is a needless expense, considering the horrible shape the subway system is in (near-daily derailments and hourly delays) and a sure-fire way to make NYC a laughingstock among mature and sane people.

So true. If the appeasers actually believe that putting statues and other symbols of the confederacy into museums will preserve history, they’re naive beyond my understanding. Do they really believe the BLM/Occupy/antifa crowd won’t attack and tear down museums?

It absolutely will happen. For years the left has been teaching kids that WWII was strictly about the U.S. segregated army, the internment of Japanese, the firebombing of Dresden, and of course the the A Bomb. A litany of American “misdeeds”, barely a word about Nazi’s or Japanese imperialism or mass atrocities. This whole thing has been “in the works” for 50+ years. We just weren’t paying attention.
