The 24/7 media hype and social media have combined to create mass political hysteria. Such bubbles expand until they collapse. Once they are over it will be a long time before anything like it reoccurs. The Democrats have shot their wad too early. When it comes time to elect a new president they will find it difficult or impossible to ignite the same level of furor.

Hysteria bubbles, like the housing crisis, do plenty of damage by wrecking lives and dissipating fortunes. Many fewer assets will be available in 2020.

I agree. The mass media has an attention span of a three year old. They will soon tire of this issue and move on to other irrelevant ones. The snowflakes will have had their 10 minutes of notoriety and will fade into the trash bin of history.
