Horowitz: 'Idiot Republicans' Sucked Into Left's 'Charade' Against Trump
Newsmax ^ | 08/17/2017 | Eric Mack

The leftist extremists are the true "threat," not the "marginal bozos" of universally condemned hate groups, and "idiot Republicans" are getting sucked into the "ludicrous and ridiculous... charade... to destroy the presidency of Donald Trump," best-selling author David Horowitz told Newsmax TV.

"If there's a serious fascist movement in America, it's the left," Horowitz told guest host Jonathan Gilliam on Thursday's "The Schnitt Show." "They're the ones who go around to cities picking fights, violence — they want to shut up other people. Even these alt-right clowns were not about shutting up the opposition and suppressing it.

"One fascism in America, it's coming from the left – with the support of the Democratic Party I should say. That's the reality."

Horowitz, who himself was once liberal/progressive before rejecting that path for conservatism in the 1970s, said the narrative of President Trump as supportive of neo-Nazis is "fiction... cooked up by the left to attack Trump."

"Donald Trump is, unlike our previous president Obama, is very pro-Israel, and he's the first American president that has Jewish family for crying out tears," Horowitz exasperatingly told Gilliam. "This is so ludicrous and ridiculous — and that's what conservatives and Republicans should be saying.

"This is a charade but its one purpose is — from the time he was elected — the Democrats were going to out to destroy the presidency of Donald Trump, to undermine, to sabotage it, and that hurts all Americans."

Anyone who hasn't already done so, take the time to read Radical Son by Horowitz.

Yes. It's required reading.

Don’t follow Horowitz, but when his opinions surface, I see a man that’s fighting the good fight.

Horowitz is 100% correct. History says so:

Yep - they are now saying that those on the Left can be justified for using violence against those they disagree with.....they are in full “kneel before your true Master” mode.

Shame on them. They’re cucks. We need a new party. We really don’t have one that represents us.

If they want the media to like them they can forget about it.

The journo-lists are loyal to The Party. However, if you are willing to Jumpin’ Jim Jeffords over to the Dark Side (for love and money) you’ll be patted on the back and all of your past transgressions will be forgiven, as long as you sit down, shut up, and vote Democrat Party Line on every measure that comes up to a vote.

>>I’m trying to remember the last time I disagreed with David Horowitz

Wasn’t David Horowitz a radical Leftist in his yute?

https://www.csmonitor.com/1997/0407/040797.feat.books.1.html

It all began for him in New York during the l940s, as the son of a Communist Party family, a classic red-diaper baby. In this intensely political, self-contained, Marxist enclave, his role was to reshape the world. He took the first steps by writing “The Free World Colossus” at age 23. But endless introspection and arguments with his father also fostered a sense of inadequacy and isolation.

Having moved to London, Horowitz plunged into leftist activities as the Vietnam War progressed, energetically denouncing American policy before coming home in l968 to a position with Ramparts, the ultra-leftist San Francisco journal. A radical victory seemed imminent in the Bay area. But in what he later realized was a horrendous mistake, Horowitz joined “the cause” in l973 by linking up with Huey Newton’s Black Panther party.

Here was a turning point in a life which had pivoted solely on intellect, writing, and family, but which had left Horowitz’s longing for political power unsatisfied: “Having Huey’s ear made me feel politically powerful in a new way.... Until now, my theorizing had had little visible impact ... the Movement had pretty much ignored what I had written.”

But the Panthers mixed idealism with violence, even criminality: How could Horowitz blind himself to that reality?

He no longer did after l975, when a woman whom he had recommended for a job with the Panthers was murdered. The crime remains unsolved, but a guilt-ridden Horowitz, insistent that the Panthers were responsible, swiftly began denouncing all that he had once favored: Marxism, the Soviet Union, and the American left above all.

I have squandered my resistance for a pocket full of mumbles,
such are promises.
All lies and jests, still, a man hears what he wants to hear,
and disregards the rest.

It is the MSM that creates the narrative. They decide who is good, and who is evil. This influences a vast majority of Americans.

The MSM needs to be neutralized.

Some of them are idiots, and some of them are crooks. And maybe some are a little of both.

If the truth be known, most have committed felonies to get where they are.

Can’t quibble with the “idiot” part but I will contest the “sucked in” assertion. The GOPe faction of the uniParty are actively opposing Trump because he is a threat to their cushy fakery. He takes forthright positions and then acts on them. That approach is anathema to these snakes who like to lurk on the edges of shadows (where “nuance” lives), wearing the coloring and mimicking the sounds of Constitutional patriots, but acting like bovine Mensheviks. They haven’t been sucked in; they’ve afirmatively chosen to sign on with the left. Damn them all.

They do this phony concern stuff because they know full well that polls show they are universally hated, but everyone approves of “my congressman”. Therefore, in a twisted way, they are helping Trump with this kabuki theater. Disgusting but if it ultimately helps POTUS, we just have to grit ourteeth and tolerate these invertebrates.

Horowitz is correct. Far too many people are terrified of being called “racist” and would rather not do what is right.
