I’m not so sure the USA is very far behind:
in the early Twentieth Century the great robber barons were decried and we had trust busting.
but these days in Silicon Valley as long as you mouth the agitprop and shibboleths of the left, like “walls are evil and guaranteed income is great”, you will be left alone to get as rich as you like, far beyond the wealth of the robber barons.
Sing the praises of collectivism, no matter how insincere, and it’s all good..!
