Maybe not. Once they arrested him when he was trying to leave the country they had to charge him with something in order to justify keeping him here.

I suspect this is just the tip of the iceberg. I also suspect the U.S. will use every bit of leverage they have -- and then some -- to get the wife back from Pakistan. As far as the Feds are concerned, it's easier to get away with killing someone than committing a financial crime.
