Not surprising. I don’t pit anything past the lying media and pollsters.
Alabama is open primaries. This is what happened in Mississippi, they accused McDaniel of racism, paid Dem voters to go to the polls, and sent ineligible voters (those who voted in first election) to the polls.
Scary.
NY Times calls it for Roy Moore and Lurch Strange,

My understanding is that the primaries were closed last year.
All the Never Trumpers on the warpath again tonight over Trump’s comments today. Unbelievable.
that’s great news Yardstick.
Now on to the run off.
Money vs honor.
He’s pretty deep in DEM rottenness in Alabama. (Doug Jones.)
Just had a Mississippi runoff déjà vu moment.
Alabama utilizes an open primary system

A runoff is just stupid: no way Strange can make up diff.
A 5% difference would be doable but 10% just isn’t. And everyone knows it.
caveat: I don’t see Trump making an all-out assault on Moore.
Ok. Should not be an issue if Brooks voters support Moore.
Yep and I expect them to be out in force as I would predict most of Brooks’ voters will go with Moore. The Ruling Class will be out in total force to work against Moore.

So Dems who voted in their primary, which should be a large part of Dems who would interfere in a Republican runoff, can't vote in it.
Judge Moore will win the runoff. That’s not the story, trump will have a loyal Republican senator from Alabama, no matter what. The real story of this primary tonight is the dismal turnout numbers for the Democrat Party. Not all the votes are yet tabulated.
However...with 60% of all the votes, both Republican and Democrat, counted the Republicans had 225,000 votes, and the Democrats had only a paltry 84,000 votes. I suspect these numbers will worsen for the Democrats, as the final tally is reported.
Moore won big

You’re probably right. The primary vote between McDaniel and Cochran was very close, unlike this race. Nevertheless, don’t underestimate how many votes Haley Barbour & Co. can manufacture.
