China to stop imports of North Korean coal, iron ore and fish

China says it will stop importing North Korean coal, iron ore, fish and other goods in September as it implements UN sanctions.

The UN Security Council, including China, backed a new resolution last weekend imposing fresh sanctions on the rogue state in retaliation for its controversial nuclear programme.

The sanctions aim to block $1bn worth of North Korean exports - about a third of its total exports.

The Chinese government said the imports would stop on 5 September.

China is the country's closest ally, but has been angered by its missile tests and repeatedly pressured and berated by President Trump, who wants it to be far tougher on its neighbour.

President Xi has urged restraint and told Washington and Pyongyang to avoid words or actions that could worsen the situation.

Could we finally get movement on this issue from China? We’ll see if they really follow through, but this would be huge as the President might say. I’ve felt all along that the way to get China to come around is to convince them that the whole region (Japan, South Korea) could go nuclear if they don’t do something about this. Maybe that’s being passed to them.

Sure they will. Because we know China is corruption-free.

Will the NORKs force Iran to take their exports whether they want them or not?

Call congress back into session to pass immediate legislation that reduces the corporate tax to 0-5% and eliminate all regulations that inhibit manufacturing of any kind, the production and exporting of coal, oil, and natural gas, etc. This would get China’s attention real quick.

China is using the fat boy to do their dirty work and it is win-win situation for them. Anything that harms the USA is good for them.

How in the world can North Korea be exporting fish when a vast percentage of the population is starving?

The Phat Little Effer up there has two choices. Back off and calm down, or he could think that WTH! I aint got anything to lose, and send one flying towards US Territory.

IMO, I think he will choose the later since the phat little Eff has the mindset of Hitler and would rather destroy the country than give in.

I haven’t thought this through, but Reagan lobbed a cruise missile through Quadaffy’s tent. Little fat Eff’er might get the message with a variant of that strategy.

OTOH, we used to be able to recruit local trusted officials to take out crackpot dictators. Offer them a house in Pasedena and a Pizza Hut franchise in return.

Ol Kadaffy didnt have a nuke though. That was the dif.

But I agree with your idea of sending an assassin in. But then again, how many times did they try to off Hitler and failed?
