Gen. Robert E. Lee was a good and honorable man. I find it revolting that people are trying to remove his statue. The South needs their heroes, too. Btw... his secession is not banned in the Constitution, it was certainly legal that the South did so (albeit for a very bad cause). There is a case for calling the Civil War the War of Northern Aggression. I am glad the North won, but what the South did was illegal and they could have no better leader/general than Robert E. Lee.

Even proud southerner, Woodrow Wilson, split the difference and praised the ability and skill of the South while supporting America being one nation.
