They must meet all the requirements. A person who believes he’s a tree would be considered mentally unqualified.
You’d think a man with an appendage hanging from between his legs and believes he’s a woman would be, too.
“...and meets all the requirements should be able to serve in our military” is the caveat that will disqualify nearly every transgender due to not being able to pass the medical boards. If you get frequent headaches you will be disqualified in a DoDMERB.
