I feel your pain. Unfortunately for them, Journey is one band I can’t stand. I was traumatized in college by someone who played one of their albums over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. It was horrible. As a result, a band that was somewhat ok before the incident became a band that I will not willingly listen to.

“I was traumatized in college by someone who played one of their albums over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. It was horrible.”

I had that same type of repetitive trauma working in a restaurant with a live bluegrass act that played two shows a day and didn’t change the set list the entire summer.

Man, I so empathize with you. In my case, the person who played the album actually played the same one song over and over ad nauseum. It’s probably their most popular song. As soon as it comes on the radio, my husband does the sweet and thoughtful thing of giving it the thumbs down, and pressing “skip”. It’s one of the many ways ways I know my husband loves me.

Considering that three outta four Journey members met with Trump, that’s amazing. The soros-loserman complaints from both the remaining member and the homo who wrote this article are just “squeals from some guys who are blurting.”

3SCAP3 is one of the greatest albums ever recorded, and Schon is one of the greatest guitarists ever, according to many who would know.

No surprise he’s a lib, but don’t let it worry you, most great artists are, being a right/left side brain issue. Sane people know this, and don’t decide their politics based on the opinions of musicians.

That entire era of high-pitched helium rock grates on me like that, I just do not want to hear them, ever again. I can’t stand Journey, I can’t stand Rush, and there’s one other that’s actually the worst of them all but I’ve blocked them in my mind so successfully that I can’t come up with the name of the band.

Arnel Pineda, hard working rags-to-riches success story story from Philippines has been a good replacement for Perry, kept the band together for a time...not sure if he didn’t go off on his own a couple years ago.

Shaking my head that another lib ruins great music or movie for me. Guess I “Stopped Believing” ;(

My brother met Ross Valory way back in 1980. Valory is an original band member of Journey. He wanted to see the movie “Airplane” and asked my brother where it was playing in town, and then gave my brother tickets to see the Journey concert.

Neil Schon forgets that he didn’t start Journey. Longtime manager Herbie Herbert put the band together. Made them hire Steve Perry as their lead singer and the rest is legendary.

Now they do cruise ships.

BTW, Neil Schon began playing guitar fro Santana at the age of 15. He was a good guitar player.

He made it “sing” in comparison to someone who screeched their way to fame like Eddie Van Halen.

(Flame me. I don’t care! It’s true)

Saw Journey in March of this year with Arnel on lead vocals. They filled up an 18,000 seat arena. Great show. They were also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year. They are still a very active touring band.

Journey got lucky when they found Arnel. It’s hard to change lead singers and still keep the same sound. Other than ACDC I can’t think of many bands that have. I can think of lots that tried and failed.

Guitar players are a different story. Neil is very good, but there’s probably 100 guitar players in LA and the Bay Area who could step in and play all of their songs and sound great.
