I’m getting the impression that President Trump has become intimidated by forces arrayed against him, to the point that he now hesitates to fire people whom he knows are undermining his agenda. If that’s true, it certainly doesn’t bode well for the future of our country.
The current general there, the one Trump wants to fire, is a four star.
I was pondering the same thing. Trump may well be hemmed in by forces so many and strong that he can’t get out in any one direction. Getting McMaster out of the NSC seems like an easy move. The negative flood of stories about McMaster in the last 48 hours would seem to indicate someone wants him out.
