When DCs’ Legends of Tomorrow returns for a third season on The CW later this year, a new superhero will enter the fold in the form of a Muslim computer hacker from the future: Zari Adrianna Tomaz, who will be played by Tala Ashe....

Legends executive producer Marc Guggenheim spoke about the casting and referenced the 2016 Presidential election, Donald Trump’s presidency and the policies that ultimately established restrictions on travel to the United States from six predominantly Muslim countries.

“You might have heard there was this election,” Guggenheim explained. “Not to get political, but something that we all gravitated toward in the writers room was making this character Muslim.”

Moslem is the new homo. It's so cool to be moslem these days. Don't you wish you were moslem, too? It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood.

They are guaranteed a 4th season once they get to 3rd season due to syndication. Why do you this extremely LOW rated Madam Secretary is coming back for a 4th? Syndication money. Most shows if they last to 3rd season get that extra to get the important 88 episodes.

Remember, this new Muslim superhero will be from the future. So will this character (a female) be wearing a full burka? Or will the show be more daring and go with just a hijab?

According to mainstream Islam: good, better, best:

Moslem is the new homo.

Which is pretty damn ironic when you consider what the average Muslim thinks of the gays.

Does DC have ANY Christian heroes?

Since they're time travelers, why not pick up a few more heroes:

A nice Nazi from 1939.
A boisterous Bolshevik from 1917.
A kinky Khmer Rouge from 1975 Cambodia (Kampuchea).
A radical Red Army fanatic from 1949.

You get the idea. Feel free to suggest more fine samples from "misunderstood" historical movements.

I’d go with Vlad the Impaler, except he stopped the Ottomans.

How about a Romeo and Juliet—with suoerpowers, of course—theme involving an M-13 gang member and a death squad killer from either Los Exterminio or La Sombra Negra? Plenty of action as the death squad party kills gang members hand over fist. It’s stale and clichéd, but perhaps when M-13 is down to one, the death squader can convert, and M-13 would be reborn with a membership of two.

You’d think that a time traveling muslim would want to go back in time and wage jihad with mohamed rather than visit 21st century America as a hacker for heroics.

Moslem is the new homo

So let me get this straight...

Black -> Orange -> Queer -> Muslim...

And then I suppose the muzzie cuts of the heads off the blacks, lifers and queers?

They like to talk about inclusion but possibly the largest demographic is ethnic Asian and therefore invisible in this show. It’s a terrible show in any case and headed for cancellation PC not withstanding.

I have a friend who was one of the first groups dropped into Iraq in 2003 in the Army forget his title now.

He said the Iraqi women were very beautiful but you would never know it of course because of this.

Still surprises me the Nags in this country say nothing but would kill me for calling them *Girls*

I am 55 year old Conservative woman. Call me girl anytime!!!

Oh it drives them crazy when I say that! LOL

I gave up on Legends of Tomorrow after the episode where they traveled back in time to the 1970s and went to visit some professor. In the background of one scene, which most people probably missed, was a picture of President Gerald Ford pasted onto a dartboard.

Sadly, I also gave up on Supergirl after it went to the CW because its writers decided to throw liberal politics into the stories much more aggressively than when it was on CBS. I do miss Melissa Benoist, though.
