A man was shot to death early Friday near the former Cabrini-Green public housing projects on the Near North Side, according to Chicago Police, marking the city’s 400th homicide so far this year.

His death happened early on the 207th day of the year, meaning Chicago has logged nearly two homicides per day.

The city continues to outpace its historic 2016 bloodshed, which saw 781 homicides. Last year’s 400th killing didn’t happen until Aug. 1.

Fifteen people have been slain in the last week alone.

The vast majority of the killings — 371 — have come by way of gunfire, the data shows. Fifteen were stabbed to death, nine were abused or assaulted, two were strangled, two were intentionally hit by vehicles and one was forced to ingest bleach.

The victims have ranged in age from 2 months to 78 years old, with people of color suffering the overwhelming brunt of the violence. Nearly 90 percent of this year’s dead were African-American or Hispanic.

Women and girls accounted for just 38 of the victims. Nearly two-thirds were black or Hispanic men between 18 and 40 years old.

In all, more than 2,100 people have been shot in Chicago this year.

Illinois is BROKE! They can’t afford to keep the citizenry safe due to fat-cat pensions and all the cash they spend keeping their former Governors behind bars! ;)

And none of them were in the gun owner’s home where there is a 40X more likely chance the gun owner will be shot or commit suicide?

“The vast majority of the killings — 371 — have come by way of gunfire,... “ ALL of the killings have come by way of lawlessness, the vast majority of which is spewing from black thuggery. But THAT truth is carefully excluded by the enemy of the Republic, lamestream media whoredom of the globalist oligarchy.

Well, the hospitals are taking it in the shorts, but I’m sure the Funeral peeps are making big bucks!

Hate to be Cpt. Obvious, but a good fraction of the dead are pure crime machines.

If they die, even after a week of OPM-funded hospitalization, then this whole Chicago enterprise is actually a great investment in America's future.

What a great record of which to be proud. It is called the “windy city” because of the noise the wind makes when blowing through bullet holes in bodies.

Reminds me of the old spaghetti westerns. Funeral Director building coffins prior to coming duel/gun battle.

But...but...but how can that be? Guns are outlawed in Chicago. Do you man gun bans don't save lives?
