Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin plans to subpoena close to two dozen New York Times reporters, editors and other workers as part of her defamation lawsuit against the newspaper, it was revealed in court documents Wednesday.

Typical media ... and I mean ALL media... cursory and uninformitive treatment of legal issues. This news isn’t relevant to anything. I’ve looked and can find nothing substantive on the status of the pending motion to dismiss. The standard of New York Times v. Sullivan is really tough to overcome. Given the blatant falsity and half-hearted retraction ny nyt I think Palin has a better chance than most public figures in defamation actions, but don’t count them out on the pending motion
