Polls Don’t Tell the Tale—Trump’s Support is Deep. Here’s Why

I even have stopped watching almost all of Fox News, even though Tucker Carlson’s solid conservatism is an improvement over Bill O’Reilly’s softer version, and the network is so much stronger without Megyn Kelly and Greta Van Susteren. I simply have no more interest in wasting my time with “fair and balanced debate,” to sit and listen to some liberal hack named Tarlov or Roginsky recite memorized talking points, or a fool named Marie Harf who used her State Department platform to explain that ISIS beheadings stemmed from a lack of job opportunities. (Remember: #JobsForISIS?)

For my news I have moved to the Fox Business channel, and I treat myself to Stuart Varney, Melissa Francis, Lou Dobbs and insightful conservative guests who do not waste my time. And, although I once was a Johnny Carson and Jay Leno regular, I no longer watch those late night talk shows. Instead, I choose between Ken Burns documentaries, MLB.TV’s “Quick Pitch,” and studying the Talmud. Same for “Saturday Night Live.” The moment the Washington Post began reporting every Monday on that show’s latest political slams against the Trump White House, I decided to turn elsewhere for my Saturday night entertainment. Besides, that show stopped being funny decades ago.

Worth the read

As the president now begins his next six months in office, we among his supporters have learned to tune out the nonsense that defines the lazy legislators in the Washington Beltway who prefer to mull over Mueller than to craft landmark health legislation that passes.

Yes, we have seen the president mature in office. He has made some important pinpointed staff changes. He is moving away from abiding the daily media circus. For those Democrats who warned with alarm and portents of peril that Donald Trump could not be trusted with the nuclear codes, we have seen that he has assembled a remarkable defense team, that he has authorized a surgical MOAB strike in Afghanistan and the dispatch of 59 cruise missiles to bombard clearly designated Syrian targets without embroiling us in a Middle East war that America should avoid. He has acted with care and delicacy in confronting the serious problem in North Korea, giving the lie to those who argued that he would be hot-headed and unable to lead.

For those of us who voted for Donald Trump last November—many of us with some concern—we support him even more today than we did then. Though we occasionally recoil from the more outlandish, we have come to prefer reading his tweets more than we did reading about Clinton’s sexual harassment scandals. And we have learned to disregard the “Russian stuff” like so much “white noise” that rivals the sound of a tree falling in the middle of a forest for irrelevance.

Add Whoeraldo, Juan, and other liberal “balances” even Fox is losing appeal.
If I want to hear liberal crapola, just click during commercial for few minutes to confirm they are all fake, lying phonieeees.

Both Tarlov and Roginsky are Russian Jews with families that have deep roots in Soviet Bolshevism.

I totally agree. As someone said, there are no American news networks, there are only news opinion networks. They have no reporters around the world to report on things. They can only cover breaking stories in the USA because they have local affiliates. They never do any on the scene reporting from around the world. If you want that you have to tune into BBC, or even RT.

Moving to Fox Business is good advise. It is definitely the most conservative of the news channels.

As for me, right now, I'm not watching much Fox News. Still way to much Russia-Trump, Russia-Trump and way to much coverage of the Dems attacks on Trump.

They wore me out with all of that. I assume I am not alone. I would be shocked to here that Fox News ratings are on the upswing.

Just having to listen to Tarlov’s voice is a form of torture.

Trump certainly has a strong, deep base.

But he also has an equally large base that hates him and will continue to hate and oppose him no matter how well he does.

2020 will be another very close race in which, win or lose, Trump loses the popular vote. CA, NY and IL ensure a popular vote win for the Democrat.

You are partially wrong. There is one American news network. It is One American News Network. Also as OANN.com. Unfortunately they are only on Direct TV, channel 347. They do streaming so that is a possibility. They are not on Dish TV. But they do US, American, and International news segments. They have no panels or "fair and balanced" crap. They just report the news.

Who cares about “the popular vote”? Read the constitution.

Fox news is a communists pile of shi!. Last real hold out is Hannity. Fox business is the last reasonable channel with Lou Dobbs.

Do they actually have reporters on the scene around the world? Or do they just report what’s reported in other outlets?

Fox takes anti-Trump clips from CNN and replays them all day long. What is the difference in watching that and CNN?

There are FAR to many great documentaries and how to videos on Youtube to waste time on claptrap on TV. We gave up cable / satellite a few years ago. I was somewhere last week that did have it and flipped throgh the channels and found absolutely nothing I was interested in watching. I guess it appeals to younger heads full of mush.

My life has enough access to all that is wrong in the world via FR and other media without paying to watch a slanted sensationalized version full of lies and half-truths.

I listen to Judge Pirro’s monologue on Saturday nights and some Hannity. Lou Dobb’s is worth watching as well. That’s it for me. Fox is off at my house.

It will be close if the Rat party does not stop the cheating like in the 2016 Elections!

It is still too early but if we do not get tax reform, business tax cuts, and individual tax cuts then it will be over for the Republicans or a new party may start out!

Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania will overwhelming vote for Trump if he brings back home the Jobs and it can be done.

Watch One America News (OANN).
They are very good, and although thy try to just report the news, they tend to have a pro-America spin as opposed to the 'Death to America' bleatings seen on the other networks.

I don't have cable or satellite - so I use the AppleTV widget (the Roku widget probably also works) and subscribe to KlowdTV which carries OANN ($4.95/month for OANN only, and $7.95 for OANN and some other channels).
