So they are already in the military and decide that they are another gender - OK fine, but the military should be under no obligation to pay for gender reassignment - no shrinks, no surgery, no medications. And the VA for damn sure shouldn’t be covering that stuff - bad enough that wounded veterans have to stand in line - can’t see them being in line behind someone with a mental disorder.

They should be ineligible for re-enlistment.

And under NO circumstances should a transgender person be able to enlist! People with Asthma, epilepsy, one kidney, cancer and a host of other medical and psychological disorders are not able to enlist so transgenderism needs to be added to that list.

I absolutely agree with you. And, how many have now, just gone into the military, only for the sake of having some disability time and all of the surgery and hormones paid for by us? It is ridiculous, and a huge insult to all who have honorably served and sacrificed for us.

It would be interesting to know just how much the trans gendered troops have cost the US taxpayer who funds the military. How long are the enlistments for after and before the surgery and treatment? How many have joined to get free benefits for life after they are eventually found to be eligible because of a disability connected in some way to the sex change? This is a mental and medical situation that should not be taken on by the military however many congress critters approve of the expense etc. Of course, when congress members have no need to worry about personal medical expenses for themselves the expense to the taxpayers is of no concern. Pres Trump did good. Bless him.

Separation from active AND reserve duty “for the good of the Service”.

Honorable conditions. Same as anyone released from service for compelling personal reasons.
