Which extremism does this atheist fear most? The one of passionate cult followers getting upset when their god is mocked, or the Christian type self sacrifice which is born in sharing the plight of a mocked Christ Who paid to open the eyes of the ungrateful blinds and the truth?
Making a moral equivalence of the two makes wishing to be an “unextremist” atheist sound like a failing endeavor by default

I’m a Christian who knows atheism has it’s destructive side. See: 20th Century, over 100 million dead.
Probably because they feel guilty at being able to live the good life and never having to have worked for it
Then along comes Trump who says to them ‘you screwed up, have been incompetent, and we need to get better qualified people in place to fix things’. He challenged their stature, told them and the world that they weren't doing a good job (e.g. ‘Fake news’, ‘poor negotiation of trade deals’ etc.), pointed out their hypocrisy and incompetence, and basically treated them as obstacles to a great future for America - not the elite deciders of that future that they see themselves as. He essentially treated them with the same derision and ridicule that they have for years treated ‘fly over country’ with. He exploded their myth of superiority, and they hate him for daring to challenge them, and they hate us for voting for him and for being supported by him.
That's what it's all about... Destruction of the western civilization... While we play pity-pat in the middle east the left helps the enemy invade us here at home... And we do nothing to stop it...
