“Gotta keep the masses drugged up.”

“Makes it a lot easier for the totalitarians.”

Name one totalitarian country who’s doing this today. Just 1 will do.

Oh so sorry. You can’t because there isn’t one. In fact, totalitarian nations have cruelly severe sentences for anyone caught with cannabis.

[ How about Poppy plants so we can all manufacture our own heroin? ]

If you can restrict one type of plant you are going to have to be draconian in order to enforce it.

Yes, You should be able to raise your own poppies.

and if you trank out and become a junkie, you should rot at the roadside.

[ I don’t believe you.

Or, you could be dumb and ignorant. ]

You would rather enable the government to be able to do search and seizure because some plant you have in your backyard resemble some contraband plants and a neighbor that hates you is using the police as their own personal vengeance squad by calling in an anonymous tip on you.

Ok, live in that wonderful virtuous world.

I would rather live in a world where the government minds it’s own damned business unless absolutely needed.

But some “Lawn order freepers” would rather live in a police state as long as their guy is in charge. Just like a libtard who loved Obama’s policies even if they went against their own ideals because “their team” was ahead on the scoreboard.

[ Thoroughly enjoying the tears of the “reefer madness” drug warriors as their reign of idiocy and destruction slowly comes to an end. ]

They remind me of the "Virtue Signaling Temperance Crones" from over 100 years ago.

[ Gotta keep the masses drugged up. ]

I would rather have private legal drug usage and all it’s consequences than the prevailing drug of government called welfare, because getting off of hard drugs seems to be easier than getting people off the government teat.

[ Yes it does. Look here...opioids, they got real bad during obama regime. Who or which one of his or hillary pals are making a profit from them? NARCAN..who owns that company? Which pal of teamobama? ]

Our military, our boys in uniform, are guarding the freeking opium fields in Afghanistan for chistssakes....

I would rather raise opium in this country and not have a dime go to the Afghanistan slime taliban / isis than the current crappy mess we have now.

The drug of a controlled media and state welfare system are many times more effective than some ditch weed you can grow anywhere and smoke for free.

You are the special sort of stupid who would trade your freedoms in for the “security” of preventing your neighbor from doing something you don’t personally approve of.

Should drugs be discouraged, YES, socially unacceptable for sure, Local prohibitions, YES, State Prohibitions, YES

Should the FEDERAL government be running an out of control Constitutional rights killing FEDERAL WAR on it’s OWN CITIZENS??? HELL NO SIR, HELL NO!

Paul Krassner and the new left started pushing this same hype in the late 50’s early 60’s.

“Should the FEDERAL government be running an out of control Constitutional rights killing FEDERAL WAR on it’s OWN CITIZENS??? HELL NO SIR, HELL NO!”

You’re like a cartoon character. A lampoon. A caricature.

Lol.

[ Yes.

Exactly.

You’re posting new left memes.

You are dumb, as well as a raving lunatic.

Pot has burned your brain out. ]

Funny... I have never smoked a joint in my life.

Nor have i eaten any pot brownies either.

I do occasionally have a drink 2-3 times a year, never more than 2-3 wine strength drinks at a time.

So you are accusing me of being a pot-head when all i want is to defend the rights of property and protection from an out of control federal government?

Listen “genius” I DARE you to take 9,000 bucks, open two bank accounts and each week move the 9k of cash from one bank to another by withdrawing it as cash and depositing it as cash... Let me know how the hell that goes, because what happens next to you is a DIRECT consequence of your ill-informed “war on drugs”.

All of the “progressive” “Wars on (insert noun or concept here ) “ have ALL turned out to be a “WAR ON THE CITIZENS”, their rights, their property, their MINDS, their SOULS!

If it took a constitutional amendment to ban the sale and production of ALCOHOL, where the hell is the same amendment for banning Pot, Heroin, cocaine, etc etc....

The progressives learned that all they had to do was erode the constitution enough via arguments that work on people’s “feelings” to allow “de-facto tyranny” to thrive.

and you are a one of their unwitting “useful idiots”

Tell me did you lose someone to drugs? I have lost family members to alcohol, crime, and drugs. I don’t let my own personal feelings drive me around like a taxi cab, and I am a woman, what the hell is YOUR excuse?

Because more freedom is always better.

You’re camp, like old High Times magazines.

"Conservative" Prohibitionists love to talk about "minimal government"—except, of course, when they decide to support the ever-expanding Police State which is necessary to enforce their pet nanny-state contraband law, asset forfeiture, no-knock warrants, trampling of the Fourth Amendment, loss of privacy, and so on.

Yep, how "conservative" and "small government".

After all, Prohibition certainly made the alcohol problem better, right?

No Prohibitionist can legitimately call themselves a "small government conservative". The terms are mutually exclusive.

And they can't claim to be a supporter of Natural Rights either, because they don't get to define others' "pursuit of happiness"; they support authoritarian law, which criminalizes the mere possession of state-declared contraband, long before anyone's rights have ever been infringed on.

It's amazing to me how far down the road to Statism even so-called "conservatives" have gone, right along with their Leftist nanny-state brethren.

The authoritarian Left and the authoritarian Right seem to be competing over whose version of Tyranny can most smoothly be shoved down the throats of Individuals.

No thanks. I'll take big, scary Freedom—with all of its annoying challenges—over Authoritarian shortcuts any day of the week.

Once a "conservative"—or a "liberal", for that matter—compromises to tolerate Arbitrary Law, there is no power that the State cannot exercise in the Holy name of the Common Good. And such attitudes have nothing to do with true Liberty.

It's no wonder that normal, decent people have been whipsawed back and forth for over a century by nanny-state do-gooders who apparently know what's best not only for themselves, but for everyone else as well.

Somebody wake me up when We the People are truly willing to live in Freedom—warts and all...
