I bet this same prosecutor would also claim that ‘ignorance’ of the law is NO excuse for breaking the law... IF it so fit her prosecution. The ‘law’ business is going to destroy US.

The American immigration system failed the alleged victims of Augustin Bahati before a prosecutor did, and that’s a shame. If we are unwilling to adequately vet immigrants and refugees by American legal and cultural standards, then we invite with open arms the trouble that is collapsing their home countries. Assimilation isn’t about imposing homogeneity, as critics often charge. It is about maintaining the core values that make this a nation that people want to live in. And, as the Bahati case indicates, it’s required to ensure public safety.
These days being a foreigner in America is better than being a citizen.
Sad.
Actually, them being “incompetent” should make it more important to get them off the streets. Treat them like any predator.
The sentimentality of these PCdiots is a dangerous indulgence.
If a citizen did what the Congolese did, not only would he have served time in jail, but would have lost his gun rights.

Cultural competency should be requirement #1 for a person to even be considered for entry. Well, maybe #2 after making sure they’re not terrorists.
Should a woman not be entitled to the protection of the law simply because her assailant is culturally unfamiliar with US law?
Are her injuries less sever somehow because her abuser is from a violent land?
Is this man any less dangerous to NH citizens because his native culture is one full of violence?
If the refugees from this country are inherently violent perhaps they should not be released in to our communities.

We really need to stop the globalists’ idea that “refugees” should be moved to completely new continents. If said refugees really need to be taken out of their original countries, they should at least stay as close to home as possible. That both makes potential return more likely and keeps them within a closer cultural fit.
The idea that refugees need to win the lottery by being transplanted oceans away, where assimilation is not likely or possible, and costs are likely very much higher, is crazy.
I hope the next person this thug beats up is the prosecutor.
I'm half-tempted to suggest that perhaps all Christians should be deemed lacking in cultural competence to participate in the modern American justice system, which is so rooted in crimes against nature and nature's God.
But in seriousness, the judge's condescension is laughably ignorant and offensive to the very minority she is trying to protect.
Merkel basically used the same argument to airily dismiss refugee rapes and sexual assaults against German girls. “That’s their culture and we have to learn to live w/ it.”
Not likely.......seems to me the US immigration criteria also includes the positives an immigrant is bringing to our culture.
Having to accustom ourselves to THEIR culture of rapes and sexual assaults is not included in the bargain.
Obviously this was done to allow that criminal to stay in the U.S. These liberal activists masquerading as judges and prosecutors are now dismissing charges against immigrants both legal and illegal to halt their deportations under Trump administration.
Wasn’t all that long ago that people were put in homes or institutions if they were unable to ‘cope with the people around them’.
If they resorted to all out physical violence, there was a cell waiting for them either in a State run prison or Mental Institution, where the populace would be protected from the individual.
Now if the court was to deem him incompatible due to social upbringing, return him/her/it to a more comfortable environment.
But, in the ‘name’ of American Justice, I guess a case could be argued that we brought them here, somewhat against their will ie...Bringing someone from the Congo and relocating him/her/it to Minnesota or New Hampshire etc could be called somewhat ‘cruel’ or at least make it hard to adjust to your new surroundings when a loin cloth was suitable year round wear and one gets introduced to ‘long underwear’ and Parkas, then told to carry on like nothing has changed.
Well then, pass a law that forces all “refugees” to pass a Cultural Competency Test before being allowed into American society. ‘Course, the libs would howl at that, eh?
